Hopefully commentating on ESPN pays well too, not just the Canelo paydays

Golovkin? Why would he be mad at a man who fought at MW?
And when has Kovalev received a big pay day?

If only Ward was HALF the boxer he seems to think he is he might be half decent. He's the dirtiest boxer I have seen in many years. There is no foul he will not utilise.
PLEASE do not let this hypocritical parasite ever be allowed to pollute the sport again

The $15 mill GGG earned for 10 minutes work against Steve ''Jelly'' Rolls might not have ecplised Dre's career earnings (albeit it's probably close and it might have after James Prince took his cut) but the $30 mill (at least $30 mill) he earned for the Clenelo rematch sure as hell will have. Let that sink in.

I think a lot of things would make Ward mad, not least dodging a guy that many think he might have beaten, and probably his biggest payday to boot. But then, Ward seems to carry more than a chip on his shoulder. More like logs on his shoulders.

Ward was too busy trying to sound like the Oracle from the Matrix with his mystic widsom and one liners.

He should have been building a fan base. His skill set was amazing. He could have been a superstar. Instead he retires with a networth of $5m and commentates on EPSN.

And before Canelo, Golovkins biggest payday was about 5mil.
    Let that sink in.

Exactly this. Ward fought once a year when the desert scirocco blew from the north east at the howling of a wolf with two-toned eyes under an organ pipe cactus which made the silhouette of Chuck Norris. IE - he probably fought half the fights a guy of his ability should have fought, instead indulging himself in extended lawsuits and holidays while his boxing skills sat unused on a shelf. Even though I personally find Ward as boring as drying dog turds on a lawn, there are nevertheless a bunch of people that disagree with me and loved to see him out-puzzle and rhythm break guys into victory. He simply didn't fight enough to build his name and find that audience.

Exactly. A complete shame. After the Super Six (2011) he was still not even 30 years old and would have had enough time to build his legacy and cash grabbing opportunities.

Strangely enough, while I hate Ward in a ring, put that guy in front of a camera and he becomes one of the best spoken and most eloquent fellows I've seen. He might yet become an ATG commentator :D

GGG has the love of the people and you can't put a price on that

He even had the love of the people in Dre's home state

Golovkin vs ''bum'' Wade attendance - in California Ward's home state
    16,353

Ward vs Barrera - in Oakland
    8,532

    Ticket prices

    Ward vs Barrera

    $300, $150, $100, $50, $25

    Golovkin vs Wade

    $400, $300, $200, $100, $60, $30

    Allow that sink inside
