In that interview today he said he needed to go in front of the Board and they will ask him why he did not pull out of the Price fight if he had been having headaches going into it. He will tell them that he has a "couple of hundred" reasons and I took that as meaning a couple hundred thousand was at stake, which it probably was as he was just about the A side of that fight on the night looking at the betting and build up and given Pricey's form. He also stated that he would quite happily let Povetkin chin him for 400 grand, any day of the week. And there is the mind-set. It's only about money and the fact Dave will go and get clobbered by anyone. There doesn't seem to have been any lasting moment of clarity after the Price beating, which was horrendous.
I'm not so sure about these headaces, and I hope he's telling porkies as I don't want anything serious to happen to him, I just don't know if they were as bad as we feared because if they were nobody close to him would allow him to fight, surely?
I'd like to think someone is protecting him. His finances were in such a state that his family had to take control at one point and he owed a few thousand to sharks and was fighting way above his level to get his head financially above water. Nothing has changed regarding his relationship to money from what he is saying in the latest vids. I do like Dave a lot, but he is a liability.
Was the headaches not down to him needing glasses, he turned up at show in glasses and gave an interview to ifl. Regardless of headaches or not, he should knock it on the head because hes heading one way. if its about money which it seems it is go and sign up to a few reality TV shows.
Allen has always been a pudding - the sad thing is he would be headlining a PPV if he beat Price. The mugths would have been reeled in big time.
Needs to do what David Price did and fight at english level, names like Ali, Little, Sokolowski, Dickinson. Think even the likes of Sokolowski would beat Allen comfortably, can only see him knocking over some eurobums and trying to get a payday and a heavy beating again.

You can only fool people so long The narrative was that Dave was talented but really lazy and fat and didn't take boxing serious. Because he seems a nice guy people wanted him to get serious and fulfill that potential he said he had. Well he has got into shape and apparently has been training hard and he's still absolute shite so that is the end of the road now, it's getting daft.
Yep Sokolowski would definitely beat Allen I think. His desire to be accepted and liked is alarming tbh
I no longer find him lovable, I just watch his interviews and think he's an absolute idiot of a human being. He talks and acts like a child. In a way it is entertaining but he's one of those fighters who will have to told to stop fighting.
At one point there was actually serious talk about him fighting Joshua, people seriously believing he could beat Joshua, apparently Joshua's chin wouldn't stand up to the test......
