I’m probably wrong but I still think Povetkin will have too much and end up stopping him at about round 9. I still just don’t see anything in Hughie Fury that will be able to excel above Euro level. really.
I truly believe fury is going to do a number on povetkin in a career best performance. I think joining matchroom has probably raised his levels 10 percent just because he truly believes he can land the big fights now. I think his career became very static with Hennessey. People will be thinking after a mid round stoppage that fury is a future champion or the AJ result doesn't quite look as good now. Povetkin will gas after 4 rounds
The fight will be messy because I think Hughie will know he just needs to survive and he’ll probably get the nod. Povetkin should win but isn’t gonna be as good as he was.
Sadly i thing Fury loses here He keeps jumping from puddings to top flight opponents and i think the lack of mid level opponents bar his short spell as British champ is harming his progression
Fury doesn’t have enough to keep Povetkin off unless Povetkin has grown old overnight it will be lights out fury probably mid rounds especially if he carry’s on trying to lure Povetkin in to that trap he caught sexton with and spent the whole fight trying to catch pulev with. Things I’d like to see from fury would be him coming forward, throwing punches in bunches. Uppercuts when Povetkin comes in.
Povetkin is showing signs of not being the force he once was, so I am taking Hughie to upset him and edge a close decision, with the advantage of the fight being in the UK perhaps influencing the judges.
Fury has the style to beat Pov but he has to let his hands go. His first instinct is to move not punch which is fine to an extent...But he's going to have drop the hammer on Pov at somepoint and I'm not sure he believes in his power enough to sit down on his shots enough. Ages and fitness are defo against Pov its a good fight and would put HF back in the mix for some big fights. He could end of as the president of the who needs him club though
People love talking about Hughie's age, like the fact that he's 24 means he might change his style wholesale. He won't. He's been a pro for six and a half years and had more fights than Joshua. His style will continue to be absolutely minging for the casual supporter.
POV early stoppage. He’s still v dangerous, gave Joshua hell in early rounds. Think he’ll jump on Hughie and try end it early.
