Eh Day also working hard to get the IBO World Title Super Fight over the line between Chris Eubanks Jnr and Serena Willams
I've seen worse. They're both skilled for amateurs who have barely boxed and fit as fiddles. LP has an athletics and wrestling background too. There won't be another draw and LP at evens is a gift. If you haven't watched the first fight then you may be pleasantly surprised if you do.
I don’t like Hearn but I don’t have a problem with this. If you are idiotic enough to pay for it then by all means go ahead. If I was Saunders though I’d never entertain being on the undercard regardless of the purse or opponent.
How shaming and humiliating is that for Saunders or any other fighters to be on the undercard of two ****ing “youtubers” turning “pro”.
You could call them both Pro in the last fight, since they were both paid around 30% of the enormous pot. If they are being paid then they're Pro, even if they are not very skilled. Poor old Billy Joe though, but he'll get his share of the loot.
He's near-pantomime level now. Wonder if Eddie will hire him to play Buttons in the family panto at Hearn Towers pre-xmas? Look, it's clear as day the bloke never wanted top-tier fights. Frank can and does make them for his fighters - even at this stage in his career. BJS had chance after chance and there was always some excuse, problem or spanner in the works.
And when you actually think about it, I don’t see how this makes sense, surely by Hearn promoting it and putting proper fighters on the undercard this bill will be on DAZN/Sky, and other sports broadcasters around the world who have contracts with Hearn and locking YouTube out of the equation, the vast majority of the crowd that payed (I assume) for the first fight on YouTube won’t pay for DAZN/Sky etc so you taking it away from the market that wants it, while the Boxing general sports fan who would view or pay for a ppv will reject the fight as a joke if it’s headlining. Maybe that’s just me overthinking it I dunno.
