Does RJJ see a weakness in Calzaghe he thinks he can exploit?

Yes he does, and here is that weakness: $$$

 

Calzaghe is a pressure fighter

Jones has done well with these throughout his career

Go to the ropes cover up well - let the other guy unload on him then counter back with neat little shots

Roy might fight the whole fight against them damn ropes and hurt Joe on the counter

 

I don't think he sees a weakness, I think he just figures he shouldn't get starched again since Calzaghe is not a puncher. Unfortunately Calzaghe is the worst style possible for the shot version of Jones, and he'll get stopped anyway.

 

He probably saw Hopkins catching Calzaghe with the right hand early on, and he thinks that Hopkins right as good as it is, is nowhere near the punch that Jones's right hand is.

Jones has more power and speed. I would think he thinks he can basically time Calzaghe regularly with it.

I dont know.

 

There are many a weakness on Calzaghe....its just that Joe has never fought a P4P fighter @ his peak to exploit it.

The 1st p4P fighter he fought was on his last legs and look how close he came to losing.

 

We need to bet on this. I don't see Jones getting stopped.

 

Well you figure the terms, not monetary, I only bet with bookies. Although I wish I didn't at times, I woulda taken a few grand off Tyson86's hands :yep

Avatar sounds good. This place passes the working hours far too quickly for me to have time off.

 

Roy is one of the smartest fighters i've ever seen. so the answer is course he does. but then again it myt just be over confidence, after all he did say in the interview that he doesnt feel that his speed, power or footwork have deteriorated at all (wrong). he speed is there, but you can diffinately see that his footwork and confidence is dissapearing fast.

Conclusion: i wouldnt put a lot of money on joe to win, becuz jones is smart and will deffinately come with a perfect game plan. A UD to jones wouldnt be as suprising to me as most people would think, especially the odds of the bookies.
