Nah he is. Because he’ll keep making decent money cruising through the rounds. He could make millions in this sport continuing to do what he does.

His right hand is on par with joyce's considering how slow and loopy it is.

Hearn definitely couldn't care less when interviewed about it. I expected him to question the scorecards but he wasn't even bothered.

I thought it was close, Hughie just did a Hughie tho and didn't throw enough. Shame.

    This!!!!!

Seriously, it's like he fights with it tied behind his back. Where is it like? The occasional time he throws it, it's telegraphed and lands nowhere near the opponent.

Povetkin still a dangerous guy. He dealt a lot better with Hughie's elusiveness than Parker.

Hughie has a great chin, good feet, heart, decent jab and a good engine. However, he has the worst right hand I've seen at a high level of boxing. If he hasn't got a right hand at 24, he's not getting one.

Its ridiculous for anyone to suggest hughie retires now as he cant ever be HW champ.

Hughie fights for money to earn a living thats the primary motivation of the man like most boxers

He has a marketable name...hes 25...durable,never gets hurt, can look after himself...and spoil at world level

But otherwise yes hes just european and british level

Theres just no arrsewhole in his work

No spite or dirt or malice in his punches.

I see him making a nice living and earning a packet.

He is a sparring partner. Least explosive sportstman ive ever seen, ive had darts players get me off my seat more than fury

I was actually impressed by him. Seeing him in person and seeing what he does up close and personal.

The right hand is pathetic though. He really needs to work on that.

But IMO he’s been in with Pulev, Parker and Povetkin and not looked out of place once.

Who would want to fight Hughie unless they had too?

His one fighters wanna avoid. His style isn't made for entertainment.

I’ve officially added him to the list of boxers I never want to see again tonight. He’s right next to Okolie on that list.

Hes a decent enough fighter hughie. Hes getting beat by good guys tbf
European about his level but he still does have time to develop. At 24 the experience hes had will do him good. But think hes actually regressed a lot from parker. He wasnt that far away from becoming a good fighter if he just learned the right time to go on the offence. Since then it looks like they,ve changed his style making him less elusive. They tried to learn the lesson of losing out on close fights...but its actually made him worse. Needs to use his footwork again just vary his attacks. He should be deciding when the fighting starts. It should be a case of moving around. Setting traps. Going on the offence. Then back to being elusive on the move. Frustrate the opponent with his movement. Double up the offence once in a while. Get back on the move. Someone that can move as good as fury should be dictating when the fighting starts.

Also needs to build himself up. Povetkin much thicker than him tonight. Povetkin still a hard nights work for anyone at 39 tbf.

BANG AVERAGE. If his name was Hughie Smith nobody would give a toss about him.

He was negative, boring, he killed any atmosphere in the arena, Hearn must already regret this signing.
