Drives me mad when people say a boxer pushed his opponent and delivered a great performance and then adjust their cards accordingly. Only people who don't know how to score a fight does that. Campbell: 9/10 for his performance... 119-108 on the scorecard
Something like 9-2-1 even, Loma, or 9-3 Loma and he scored a knockdown so the cards for me would be either 118-109 or 117-110 Loma. Some of the rounds were close and Vasyl started slowly, maybe took a round off later on. Loma just scored the better work in the majority of the rounds. It wasn't THAT close. Campbell gave a brave, good effort but Lomachenko won very clearly on the cards.
Many of the rounds were close but lomachenko edged Campbell in most of them . I had it 116-111. For 10 rounds it was a close fight but Lomachenkos class solidified the win in the championship rounds.
When you think about it Campbell came to survive because he couldn’t open up as everytime he tried To open up he got beat to the punch .now this is not taking anything away from Campbell as he is a world class fighter but he knew after the second round it was survival till the end . You look at Campbell’s face at the end of round 5 he was basically saying this is constant pressure. I had it round one to Campbell only because he threw 2 decent jabs and then after that it was one way
I had Cambell winning 4 rounds. The rest were clear Loma rounds. 116 Loma 111 Campbell I think. It was late.
I had Loma by 4 or 5 points, but only watched it wonse. After seeing the judges score I came to the conclusion that you can't beat the currently promoted Loma unless you K.O. him. I thought Loma pulled it out in the last few rounds.
