Just curious. Let's say Loma (dares) to be great. Fights a40 plus Pac, has some great moments, but eventually gets dropped, then stopped.

Would U give props to him for daring to be gr8? Or would it not matter because he lost to a man in his 40s?
Or would you still give Loma a chance to win other fights & become a possible ATG? Deciding he didn't lose to any 40 yr old. He lost to a seemingly timeless legend ?:)
I ask because I notice sometimes a fan will denounce a fighter for one specific loss and will recount it whenever in debateo_O

edit-(I think in his 2nd fight Loma began his dare to be gr8 career by fighting for a title and has continued)

Not knocking Loma, I’m just holding him to the same standards as I do other p4p #1s. The Pac, floyds, RJJ, SRL, Duran - that’s damm strong company and that’s why I’m holding him to much higher standards.

If he loses to Pac despite pac’s advanced age, it shows he’s not as good as Pac (I consider them to be about the same size with Pac only being heavier because of Father Time but age for age they were the same weight and dimensions). It doesn’t mean he’s not great, it just means he took a step too far in competition.

Let’s face it, Loma hasn’t faced an A level fighter yet except for Rigo who was too small. And not his fault since there’s very few A level guys. You don’t get props to daring to be great, you get props for pulling it off.

If he pulls it off, it would be in part due to pacs age but it would also be a shock that would raise a serious discussion of whether Loma could beat Pac in his prime, and it would be warranted.

Loma was drawfed by Campbell. I doubt his height is even 5'7", this dude straight up looks tiny and he doesn't hydrate much.

    Loma 65.5'' reach

    Campbell 71'' reach
    Crolla 67'' reach
    Pedraza 70.5 '' reach
    Linares 69'' reach
    Rigo 68'' reach
    Marriaga 67'' reach
    Sosa 67'' reach
    Walters 73'' reach
    Martinez 67'' reach
    Koasicha ?
    Rodriguez 69'' reach
    Piriyapinyo ?
    Russell Jr. 64'' reach
    Salido 67'' reach
    Ramirez 65.5'' reach

    Crawford 74'' reach

    Khan 71'' reach
    Benavidez 73'' reach
    Horn 68'' reach
    Indongo 71½'' reach
    Diaz 67'' reach
    Molina 71'' reach
    Postol 73½ reach
    Lundy 68'' reach
    Jean 72'' reach
    Dulomre 73'' reach
    Beltran 67'' reach
    Gamboa 65'' reach
    Burns 70'' reach
    Klimov 69½'' reach

    Now weight

    At 126

    Loma 129 - Ramirez 135
    Loma 136 - Salido 147
    Loma 138½ - Russell 138
    Loma 134 - Koasicha 133
    Loma 138 - Rodriguez 132
    Loma 132 - Piriyapinyo 137

    At 130

    Loma 137 - Walters 136
    Loma 139 - Sosa 142
    Loma 137 - Martinez 144
Loma 137-138 - Rigo ? (he was 130 the morning of the fight in his tracksuit)
Loma 138 - Linares? Linares was at least 146-147 IMO
Loma 138-139 - Pedraza 147-148 as per a member of his camp
Crolla would've had at least 7lbs on Loma IMO
And Campbell would've had 8-10lbs on Loma.

    Now Crawford

    Crawford 149 - Klimov 140
    Crawford 152 - Gamboa 145
    Crawford 153 - Beltran 147

    At 140

    Crawford 155 - Lundy 151
    Crawford 155 - Jean 155
    Crawford 157 - Postol 152
    Crawford 157 - Diaz 161

Horn weighed about 155 against Crawford, Crawford was coming in at 157 when he was down at 140 going back over 2 years ago and since his last fight at 140 he'd been working with his S&C coach adding muscle, size and just getting heavier

    Per his S&C coach

''We've trained harder since his last fight, putting more weight on him - good weight - putting some more muscle on him, and just getting him bigger, because we've always know he was going to have to move up in weight eventually, so that was a big part of it - just getting him heavier''

''He has easily put on 10lbs of muscle all the while by maintaining speed and athleticism.''

And Loma turned pro a few months shy of his 26th birthday a fully grown man, whereas Crawford turned pro when he was 21 y/o.

Crawford was coming in as high as 153 in his first weight class

    135 to 153

He was coming in as high as 157 in his second one
    140 to 157

And he's still rehydrating about that much in his third one and he must weigh a bare minimum of 162 on fight night now and that's conservative estimate

Whereas when Loma is moving up through the weight classes the maximum he rehydrated in his first weight class 126 was 12.5lbs

The maximum he rehydrated in his second was 9lbs and that was only once AFAIA. It was 7lbs and 8lbs for the others

And AFAIA the most he has rehyrated in his third weight class is 3-4lbs but it might be ever so slightly more now

If Loma was rehydrating as much in his first weight class 126 as the maximum amount Crawford was in his 135 he would be coming in at 144 on fight night and he still doesn't weigh that much now even up in his third weight class.

Maybe Hayman ought to allow one of his protected angels to fight Crawford. But we know that ain't happening because they understand they would not have their belt anymore after the fight him. IF your boys had any balls they would step up and make the fight. Crawford offered Spence a 45/45 with winner getting the other 10% and all you hear is silence.

If Crawford is serious he should fight Canelo at 160lbs. They are the same height.

    Lol this board man.

Loma cleaning out Comney/Lopez and taking 130lbs by storm once again.

Dude, you need to change your name. It won’t take much, just remove the “Notjusta” part. The rest is very accurate.

Nice straw man argument, it would actually make sense if Tyson was at one stage a champion in a division Hearn was in
