Joahnys Argilagos who is a 2 time amateur world champion and only 22, and Osvary Morrell, a former world youth champion is making his debut at 21.

Its rare to see high level Cubans this young go pro.

I remember the time when people looked at Cuban boxers in awe... times have changed.

Maybe, but doesn't change the fact some of the smoothest fighters of all time were Cuban

Napoles, Gavalin, Rodriguez, Ramos, Kid Chocolate, Rigo Kindelan, Savon, Stevenson, Gamboa ect.

It's not looking good for Cubans in the pros at the moment. Joahnys Argilagos won his first two fights only by split decision and majority decision, and Robeisy Ramirez lost his pro debut.

Great amateurs, but they don't convert well to the pros.

That is a good thing. It means they will be more adaptable in their ways, to become more well rounded fighters.
