Audley regrouped after the Danny williams loss, even tho williams was a top top fighter who beat tyson .. and sparked danny Williams into next week...... Joshua should seek audleys help for the ruiz rematch great.. he could learn some things from a-force
Which British Olympic Super Heavyweight Gold Medal Winner will finish with more wins? Audley Harrison or Anthony Joshua? Harrison retired with 31 wins. Joshua only has 22. That said, I think Joshua has already gone down as many times (five) in 23 fights as Harrison did in his entire pro career (38 fights). Given Joshua's terrible chin, I think reaching 31 wins is going to be difficult.
Let's see how Wilders chin holds up to being hit by 270lbs of Mexican Warlord. Ruiz >>Ortiz Povetkin >>Ortiz Whyte >>Ortiz Klitschko >>Ortiz The person who had Wilder drooling isn't even as good a puncher as the 4 people who have hurt Joshua
Audley knows how to deal with losing and getting knocked out, he was pretty good at that part of the sport.
He was also extremely good at being given more chances. Promoters hated him but they still signed him again for that one more fight. There is some lessons to be learned from Audley.
This thread proves that Audley will never be forgotten. Even all these years after his retirement he still inspires periodic threads on this site.
Yeah, Fraudley remains a great punch line, a joke that will never be forgotten, and used to criticize other boxers like this. He's a legend - a glass-jawed conman who fleeced the BBC, and flim-flammed the British public for years, amazing wealth by getting his fragile whiskers shattered with great regularity.
End of the day he did win the European belt and Olympic gold. Also avenged half his losses. Of the millions of people who participate in boxing, amateur and pro, he’s in a top 5% bracket
He fleeced the BBC are you kidding me? He fleeced the public via the BBC, who paid him out of license fee payers money!!!
Who are you talking about here? Joshua has been down as many times as Harrison was (five) in about half as many fights. What will happen first? * Joshua will hit the deck a total of 10 times (he's halfway there)? * Or Joshua will win 10 fights and surpass the win total of Audley Harrison? I think he'll go down 10 times before he ever gets to 32 wins. Actually, I would be surprised at this point if Joshua wins 32 fights. He's barely squeezing in one fight a year at this point.
I can hear the Commentators now if the Obese Buffet Gobbler Starches Joshua again... they'll be saying "Shades of Fraudley Harrison, Oh the Humanity, this is Tragic for the British Nigerian Boxing Dynasty!!!"
