Has Tyzsu expressed any interest in fighting Mick Zeraffa ? Yes mate we try to get there at least once a year , great people.
Sensible really all this weight jumping for cash grab fights early in their careers ruin most blokes , I hope Tim goes the old school route in his career from what I've seen of him ( limited I agree ) he looks like he has got some very good attributes to climb the rankings at the correct pace , if he can stay on tracked and focused the riches this sport can bring will be his .
As you were in Greece JW did you catch your welsh lads Cordina/Gywnne in action on the Loma undercard ? Cordina very impressive again but probably a bit like young Tim Tszyu in the fact that he should have a few more domestic fights before tackling the world stage . Is there anymore domestic fights for him and can he make some noise at world level ? He is a slick boxer and has a bright future Cordina ........
In terms of local opposition, I don't think it's feasible to match Horndog with anyone other than Michael "Zorro" Zerafa or Tim "The Toolman" Tszyu. I also don't think it's feasible to import third rate international opposition for him. He's moved beyond that point in his career. I think what's required of Horndog in this situation is plain & simple - REVENGE! And it needs to be served cold. Stone cold. The result in Bendigo can't be allowed to stand if Horndog is to continue his career. He needs to pancake Zorro in a rematch or stay at home playing daddy day care. Those are his choices. Over to you, Horndog.
Sorry.mate I didnt know what happened there lol , would like to see Joe follow my advice to young Tim reference rushing his career , I'd like to see Joe win the Lonsdale belt outright and get to keep one the maybe a crack at the European title mate .btw I had no coverage over in greece of the boxing what so ever , kinda strange being outta the loop for a few weeks lol
* Brock Jarvis to co headline Fox Show Nov with Jayde Mitchell. Postponed fight between two unbeaten SMW Issac Hardman and Mark Kassib also on the card. * Some more tidbits from Bendigo PPV. * The two villains Glen Rushton and referee Ferdin Marsh have apoligzed . It was Ben Horn who rushed the ring not Rushton. The Hornet to take two weeks off before making dec on his career. * Brock Jarvis impressive performance have drawn comparisons with the Master Blaster Lester Ellis. * Ankush Hooda took that fight on late notice and like Ty Telford he would be awfully hard to beat with full preparation. AH trains at Murphy Boxing Gym and has competed at Elite National Championships. * John Wayne Parr lost his Muay Thai fight in Japan last week. This content is protected
We can safely say that Horn is stuck to this formula(fighting fellow domestics) I wouldn't make him a favorite over either and honestly even if he did avenge the loss it still wouldn't redeem him all that much. He was and never will be a world class operator. But he can still make money conning a gullible and desperate boxing market. However... It would be unwise to go after Zerefa again immediately although I would love to see it. Another brutal loss like that so soon would spell the end of his career even domestically.
Based on that highlight it looked like he should have gotten the nod. Suspect decision? Parr is ancient but looks solid for his age all things considered. Should probably retire after that Mundine fight though.
A further point I want to address is what weight should Horndog (and Zorro Zerafa for that matter) be fighting at. To my mind it should be Junior Middle. It's been said the weight wasn't a factor as between Horndog & Zorro. I'm inclined to agree with that to some extent b/c Zorro has shown he can fight effectively at Junior Middle & was in fact campaigning in that weight division when he got the call to face Horndog @ Middlewight. I would observe though that Zorro has much more experience at the weight having campaigned there extensively earlier in his career. A bit of extra height never hurts when it comes to moving up in weight either. The more important point though is what weight division do they have the best chance of winning a world title in? Which of course is a different question to what weight division do they have the best chance of getting a lucrative world title shot in? The answer to the second question appears to be @ Middleweight against former Olympic gold medalist Ryota Murata in Japan. I think the answer to the first question though is @ Junior Middle. By paying one of the champions big money to come out here & defend in Australia. I could see Zorro Zerafa winning a world Junior Middleweight title fighting at home in Melbourne or Bendigo against someone like Erislandy Lara. It's much harder to envisage a win in a world title fight against a hard punching Olympic gold medalist @ Middleweight in Japan. It's for that reason I'd like to see any rematch between Horndog & Zerafa @ Junior Middle with the winner to pursue a world title shot at that weight. The WBA regional belt is vacant at Junior Middle so get the rematch sanctioned & a top 10 Junior Middleweight world ranking awaits the winner. Of course, if the big money Middleweight title shot is still on the table you take that. But in terms of our chances of winning a world title, it might be better if it's not. I don't just want to see our guys fight for world titles. I want to see them win them.
How do you see Zarafa beating Lara at 154? I sure as hell can't see it. Maybe if he took a page from Horn and was allowed to foul with impunity and had the judges on his side. Zarafa is a much cleaner fighter and that plays into Lara's hands. Either a clear UD or a late stoppage for the Cuban.
Lara is entitled to be favourite but he's an old man. Make him travel half-way around the world & then let's see what he's got. The point is Zerafa has a better chance of winning a world title in Melbourne or Bendigo than he does in Japan. Particularly fighting at Junior Middle. The same goes for any of the other champs. It's not easy travelling to the other side of the world, fighting & winning. If Americans had to do it regularly, they might have a better appreciation of how tough it is.
Is the bang supposed to mean shot's fired or something?I can only can go on what I see based on the way your carrying on as if it doesn't happen often,I got my prediction wrong like most did and haven't tried making excuses for it and actually congratulated you and the others who picked Zerefa but you're still demanding respect. There is plenty of evidence also of how often I get it right including the tipping comp I have been leading for most of the year but I don't need to brag about it or try and use it as evidence of my boxing knowledge when the usual 2-3 idiots in here want to talk **** about me. I doubt there's anyone in here regularly betting and winning the amounts I do on boxing and mma and while you probably don't need my help I have no issue helping you or anybody who ever asked for help guaranteeing the best possible odds etc.
