The boxing industry should reject Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury. These two haven't faced real competition yet, they are cherry picking their opponents. There is an unbelievable and enormous hype about them. They select their opponents, fight twice a year, and then sit back. They spend the rest of the year by making stupid interviews, trash talking etc. And now they are hyping their rematch to each other. They are pretending that they are the greatest heavyweight boxers of this era. No! Their rematch won't present "clash of greatest heavyweigh boxers of this era", it will not be a big deal that boxing fans should root for. Tell me 3 important boxers for each of them whom they have defeated, and I will shut my mouth forever and accept they are the greatest.
4 knockdowns before quitting on his feet against Ruiz removes Joshua from any argument about who is best no matter what happens in the rematch.
Yes and he was saved by the bell and the ref. Besides during all the match with Fury he made almost nothing. Hes a one trick pony and he has a good chin nothing else. He is very far from Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Holmes, Tyson, Lewis, Wlad, Vitali and many others.
Because he's a big stiff bodybuilder. And when he's tore apart from that ferocious blob Ruiz! The bomb squad can deliver him to Deontay for second pickings!
Stiff? You right. But that was not the reason for which he lost the match with Ruiz. The problem was mental, he underrated Ruiz.
Fury has no aspirations to be a great fighter of legacy. Wilder best opponent defeated him ,Fury himself. One thing that seperates them is one has a belt and is supposed to have a decent resume ,the other ? Not so much anyway even if he tells everyone hes this generations best heavyweight. I give Fury a pass on Wallin,i think it will be a good fight and we never actually saw an aggressive 6'6 go at him ,you will in that one. Wilder best 3 wins are …. 1. Stiverne UD 2. Breazeale 3. Ortiz In 40 plus fights. Neither of these guys will compare to Joshua if Joshua gets by Ruiz ,they will still look like a comedy duo. Like I said before they should knock each other out both were scared to death with Joshua prior to Ruiz..
Not to talk about that ruiz actually was a cherry-pick who went wrong. Completely wrong. But a cherry-pick indeed, dont fool yourselves.
Ruiz was the 4th fighter they were down to,a cherry pick is someone they think isn't ready ,please tell me how a guy just out of a fight 2 weeks after is not ready for Joshua who had a long lay off due to everyone avoiding him and had to go back months to set up an original April date in the U.K ?
I believe that joshua, and everybody, thought that he could easily handle that short fatty boy. And they (we) were wrong. But the fact that they (we) were wrong doesnt make it less of a cherry-pick.
