prime Frank Bruno v Andy Ruiz who would have won?

why was his right hand wild as hell in the Bruno fight, could it be that Bruno gave Lennox a few problems with his own jab and right hand? Lewis's right hand looked fine flattening Ruddock, it also looked pretty good putting down a game Tucker.

 

I agree about Ruiz, and I think Bruno would most likely TKO or KO him.

 

that wasn't my point mark ant, I realise Lewis was the better fighter once Steward took over, but I still maintain he was an athletic beast before that point, people forget, he was still a classy operator with a decent jab and devastating offense, and it was significant that Bruno gave him problems. Frank showed he deserved to be at top level, and in today's scene would do very well.

 

Bruno was good enough to make Bugner look awful right after Bugner was good enough to make very decent versions of David Bey, Greg Page and quick Tillis look even more awful.

 

I don't think Bruno is totally out of this, but I think he would have to get Ruiz early. Ruiz has more natural ability, but Bruno could hit. I think the rematch might give us more clues...

My gut feeling tells me Bruno would stop Ruiz in a couple of rounds. Bruno was not the most skilled guy but he was gutsy and he was willing to trade, and it usually took good fighters a long time to stop him. I pick Bruno early.
