Not sure about that. In the ring, Canelo quite possibly is just as heavy as the average Kovalev opponent. I think at the very least Kovalev is going to have to respect his power.

 

I believe that with Canelos low center of gravity plus head movement he will be in perfect position to Mike Tyson Kovalev to the body. Canelo will attack kovalevs Achilles rib and ko him by round 8!

 

Him and the whole forum have a notebook of excuses already written down

 

Might be a boring fight because both guys are going to play it safe... Canelo because that's what he always does, and Kovalev because he fears shots to the body... Kovalev will work off the jab and Canelo will counter.

If that's the case, it'll probably be a controversial MD for Canelo.... Kovalev will get his bag (and another couple, cos all the 175 champs will be down to fight him at this stage of his career) & everybody will be happy but us.

 

kovalev is fading fast. late 20's early 30's kovalev would have never been caught with those shots against yarde.

 

Canelo is far more skilled and goes to the body well. He will attack the body off of counters all night and Kov will cave.

 

That's what I'd bet on, too.

For an older fighter who hasn't taken great care of himself between fights, it's a marvel Kovalev has as much left as he does, but he's too far past it.

I like all good fighters I just cannot bear blatant cheats. No one can deny Ward BLATANTLY attacked Kov's testes & should have been DQ'd. No one can deny Floyd cheated with his illegal IV use. No one can deny Clenelo's TWO failed drug tests. But not one of them suffered for their cheating. Corruption covered their asses

I'll Put my house on Kovalev winning by decision. Canelo isn't any better than Andre ward or Eleider Alvarez, and Kovalev beat both of them.

 

Not happening. Kov is not past it enough. Canelo is looking for trouble.
