Mikey needs to stay far away from Danny G. Swift would tear his ass up. I think that he would bring more pain to Mikey than Spence.
I think Mikey all the way at 147 is pretty overrated on here. He has yet to win a round or two at the weight class. I would pick Danny Garcia to beat him at 147 (though that's another dude whose head wasn't in it).
Undisputed in any division is a massive achievement. Abandoning that to beat up an old name, what is the point in that? Money, but that isn’t Lomachenko’s motivation in this game.
Pac would KO Commey and Lopez... On the same night. Anatoly has no fear of Commey/Lopez. He does fear and know that GrandPac would seriously hurt his son, though.
Pac hasn’t KO’d anyone in years apart from old, shot Mathysse. Pac hasn’t fought guys that size in years, if he could get down to that weight he’d be ponderous and slow, get beaten by anyone in the top ten. Some people can’t see how shot Pac is because he’s up against these lumbering, larger fighters. Pac is carefully choosing opponents, guys like Spence and Crawford would destroy him. He’s ducked Crawford multiple times. Why would Anatoly want his son to fight a shot fighter and abandon their plans for unification? It’s only fans such as yourself who still have a hard on for Pac who think that fight does anything for Lomachenko in terms of legacy. I think he should take it for the money and for the name recognition but that’s not what his team is in boxing for.
i would take all the current champs at 140 to beat mikey. You will change your mind when he gets manhandled again at welter.
Lomachenko said that he would love a fight with Pacquiao, but needed at least a year. Then he said that a catchweight would be necessary. Then he said 137. Then he said 135. Then he said no fight. Lomachenko gets seriously hurt and retired if he fights Pac. He knows it and his dad knows it.
Like you say, Manny no bigger than Linares or Campbell, so let's make Loma vs Pacman at 140 or 135. Why would anyone want a fight between two great fighters to be made outside their natural weight class?
Well, Pac did say (with a huge ass smile) that he could still make 135. Arum tried to make the fight and said that Lomachenko's father turned down the fight. However, Lomachenko has an incredible opportunity to win a major title at 14 on account of Pac being smaller than guys he's fought, so he should take the fight at 147. But I'm cool with 140 and 135.
