Someone already mentioned it but AJ is not exempt from this list. Ruiz was a cherry pick that went wrong. I had not watched any of his previous fights and was shocked when he beat AJ, the guy who beat an older version of Vlad. I hope Ruiz beats him in the rematch and love Ruiz as a fighter. It’s not often that I can look at a pro fighter and say, I look better with my shirt off than that guy! He’s such a fat blob and he can throw bombs and take a good shot. Not long ago, I watched guys seriously debate on boxing forums if normal (smaller) HWs of the past could beat the giants of today. Many people said guys like Ali and Tyson would not have a chance against the giants of today because they were too small. Ruiz came along with his floppy man-boobs and beat a giant bodybuilder into submission. How can you not root for this guy? I hope Ruiz clears out the division and gets even fatter. I hope he eats a whole pizza and bacon cheeseburgers between rounds during the fight. My admiration and respect for him would only grow.
Sadly they are amongst the greatest heavyweight boxers of this era which tells you how soft the division is right now.
Exact same opinions are expressed during every single era, dating back to the beginning. That's a fact. Just social media makes it so much easier for everyone to puke their own opinions out for the world to read and scratch their heads
Execpt that right now its quantifiable with the leftovers of last era being the top guys of this one.
I'm becoming a fan of Ruiz too. His only L was a close decision. Fury is arguably the most disappointing of the HWs. After the Wilder fight, he's gone back to fighting jobbers. He has the size and movement to trouble most of the division and Schwartz is who he chooses to fight? He's entertaining and I do like him as a fighter, but he needs to step up his competition.
Wilder fans are just like Trump fans. When you ask a question about Wilder or his resume, people bring up AJ or anybody else. They won't answer the question directly. Same as when you ask a trump fan about their dickhead of a president, they bring up obama and ignore the question. Wilder is a bum beating fraud who lost to a 60% Fury and Wilder has avoided both Klitschkos, Haye, Whyte and most of the top 20 right now. But his fans will continue to bring up the phantom 50 million dollar email offer hahahaha
