Both great fighters but I want to know if any of you see any weaknesses. I think errols chin is suspect he was countered by a huge hook a few fights back and wobbled. Bud looks unbeatable.
Crawford has a tendency to get caught by monster shots at points, probably means some lapse in focus at times. But he has also demonstrated a pretty good chin. Spence does not like to counter, and is fairly awkward with it and punching on the move in general, can be stiff and too upright also (a complaint his coach also had for Mikey Garcia performance). https://j.gifs.com/K1mWOx.gif
I guess you missed the Gamboa fight? Gamboa had Bud dancing a jig. I don't think Bud's chin is any better than Spence's. I just think Spence leaves his chin out there a bit more which makes him more susceptible to a good counter. I've seen Spence get caught in two fights and he took them both well. Yes, he was buzzed but took them. If it hadn't been at the end of the round in the one fight it might have been a different outcome. The way it stands right now I think Spence beats Bud. The reason? He will outwork Bud. So, Spence on points.
I was just gonna post that Crawford gets tagged up in big exchanges. Other than that, I don't see many weaknesses. That will most likely change once he gets in there with an equal or close to equal opponent. Spence telegraphs his punches. When he is in kill mode, you can see his punches come from a mile away. An experienced fighter could take advantage of that.
Crawford eats like a Spartan. Spence eats pepsi flaming hot Cheetos in camp. If they meet Crawford will be in & out of there like a demon's whisper. Levels to this
I think Errols chin is good enough but it appears he definitely isnt packing granite in there. The weaknesses I see with Spence is he doesn't move his head so he is vulnerable to a good counter puncher, he tends to telegraph his punches at times, doesnt have the most fluid combinations and most importantly which is what will expose him especially against Crawford is movement. He is going to look really, really ordinary when he gets in against a guy who can box on the move. I saw this with Tito and I see this with Spence. In the Brook fight I saw Brook at one point give Spence some lateral movement and as he moved to the outside spence lost his balance trying to turn and he was wide open for a brutal counter but Brook stepped back and moved away. As far as Bud goes I think the only real weakness he has is we dont know if hes as great as he appears to be and won't know until he gets in with one of the other top guys in the division. People keep going on and on about Gamboa rocking him but that happens to every fighter so its doesnt mean much. He hasn't been dropped and he hasn't been ko`d so im not worried about his chin.
