I think it’s one of many match-ups where Tarver would have the class, and should win, but would also have a 25-33% of being outworked because he could be lazy on any given night.

I see Johnson simply out working Tarver.

    johnson ud.

Way too busy for Tarver. And Tarver would be fighting a lot of the bout with his back on the ropes playing defense.
Come to think of it, I see Tarver playing 80% defense and only 20% offense against this guy. And it took big punches to have any chance to discourage a guy like old pops.

Because it didn't happen doesn't mean it can't.

What huge punchers did he face to give you this confidence in his unbreakable chin? Danny Green? Shot RJJ? Glen Johnson? Clinton Woods?

He was dropped by Hopkins, Reggie Johnson and Eric Harding none of whom could be classed as thunderous punchers. I'd bet money that a truly huge puncher (who could box) like Spinks or Foster could stop him.

I don’t think you watched his fights. His glove skimmed the canvas against Hopkins, he took a knee against Harding due to injuries, and I don’t remember the Johnson fight except that he won easily and wasn’t hurt. So why try to make your point with nonsense like that including claiming that Roy was shot?

Tarver had like 300 am fights so I’m sure you can dig up some more flash knockdowns.

Tell me you're kidding....Bob Foster and Michael Spinks each would ko the Milk Dud. Old man Hopkins even decked him.

Tarver beat a guy who was better than Johnson. Johnson never beat anyone as good as Tarver and lost by stoppage in most of his big fights.
