How many former heavyweight champs would Jones have beat in their primes?

Lewis was being trained by an idiot when he wa beat by McCall, he was far better in the rematch, hence the different result.

I wasn`t saying that, I just feel a counter puncher like Jones wouldn`t do as well v a fighter who firstly thought of defense with his feet everytime a punch is thrown, I feel it would be a negative chess match like the first Griffin bout, Montell was also a counter puncher, and Jones couldn`t have blown Tunney out in a couple of rounds either.

He definitely is overrated at heavyweight. He only had 1 fight against the average Ruiz. And Ruiz was fighting the worst fight of his life, giving Roy way too much respect.Jones does not have the chin to be a good heavyweight or even cruiserweight. He was a great fighter from middlweight to lightheavyweight

The different result was because McCall should never have been passed fit to fight and had a breakdown in the ring.

No, Lewis was wide open throwing his right hands loopy v Bruno and Tucker a flaw Stewart studied and trained McCall to time.

Lewis became great with Steward. Overall I certainly don't see him as the best heavyweight of the 90s, he was more of a late 90s-early 00s champ and he was incredible then!

I put Bowe, Holyfield, and early-to-mid 90s Foreman over him pre-Steward. I think both Foreman and Bowe would have caught the one-handed Lewis much like both McCall and Hasim did, total crushing knockout.

I put Lewis overall just below Holy on my top ten ATG's.
