Mejidov is great amateur. Unfortunately, Mejidov is past his best, so he needs to move fast.

    Hearn should sign Arslanbek Makhmudov.
Even if he is one dimensional but hes a massive puncher and would be great filler for undercards.

Mahkmudov is far more effective then Majidov .Majidov a better basic boxer but he would gets flattened against Arslanbek who has a jump start in the pros and is younger, Hearn needs to read my top 50 HW's and he would take over the sport bc its what gets people attention, his stable is already the best overall, spend the money and expand it to where you have most the key guys who everyone will want to see by 2022.....paying for guys like Nkosi Solomon shows he isn't fully focused on the HW's.

He only brought in Solomon as he was American guy and he was moving into the American market.

But I agree he should focus on securing the best heavyweight prospects. I think Hearn a lot of the time though looks at the overall picture of how he can sell a fighter.

Beating AJ in the amateurs for instance.

George Arias is a better fighter then Solomon , Darmani Rock ? Trey Morrison was available ? Sonny Conto is the best U.s prospect that flew under the radar he missed big time . Nick Mazurek in Chicago ? Rhaman Jr. ? Id take all these U.S up comers over Solomon and most have better selling points .

Solomon isn't a bad fighter ,cut a bad break but he doesn't stand out as a future top guy to me.

Majidov lacks power for pro boxing.

Agreed but my understanding is Conto was approached but held out for Top Rank. Morrison, Arias and Rock had deals with other promoters.

They also wanted amateurs that hadn’t debuted to build up. Some of the fighters mentioned want good money and don’t have much hype behind them, although granted some have potential but they signed Hunter for that role.

They tried to sign Torrez Jr but he wants to go to the Olympics before turning. Solomon was never going to get to the olympics. He was also a teammate of Mati and Ababiy. All of them took the deal to turn pro as the Matchroom Team USA squad members. Solomon has the right look also. Once discovered he did t have enough about him he was dropped and replaced with others.

When you are announcing your roster 3 x Team USA one of which is a heavy looks a lot better than wheeling a chubby Darmani Rock out. Granted he’s a better fight than Solomon. But the Solomon signing at the time made the most sense.

Beating Joshua at the ams isn't much of a feat, as of the only 4 fights I saw of Joshua he lost 2 (London 2012).
But being a 3 time amateur world champion certainly is a feat to be proud of.

Most probably signed him up for the same reason he took Hughie Fury into his stable....to keep em both away from pummelling AJ once Ruiz finishes him off and has nowhere to go ;):D

You're a hell of a clown, boy. I could post a video of Paulie M. KTFO an opponent and he's still pillow-fisted. It's like picking ONE example which supports your view, i could pick 25 which supporting my point of view. GTFO

Watch his fights. His style is an amateur style. He'll have a rough and tough time to adapt to the pro game. It's completly different style and Majidov isn't exactly a prospect. He'll turning pro at 33.
