    1) Sam Langford
    2) Ray Robinson
    3) Bob Fitzsimmons
    4) Roy Jones Jr.
    5) Carlos Monzon
    6) Gennady Golovkin

    *Wildcards* Julian Jackson, Gerald McClellan.

If someone is going to pull it off I'd wager that it might be one of these men.

Sugar Ray Robinson would be the best guess. Why? Well he had power in both hands. Power in every punch he threw. He also put his punches together in combinations better than anyone else ever did. Robinson also had the speed to land his punches on Hagler's head. He had the durability and the heart to stay in there and keep landing throughout the course of the fight.
That is not to say that I'm saying he definitely stops Hagler but he would be the best person to choose.

None, Hagler's chin was one of the best ever in any weight class, combined with being a superb fighter.

To beat Hagler? I can think of some good shout outs.

To STOP Hagler? I wouldn't pick a single damn one. I guess its possible, but if Hearns couldn't do it with his Sunday punch I wouldn't pick anybody.

    Fitz
    GGG
    R Jones

I think Hagler retired when he did ( Age 32 ) to avoid such a loss.

McClellan if he unloads the entire clip as soon as the bell rings, obviously not a smart strategy and has a huge chance of backfiring but with his viciousness, chin, range and power he would have the best chance

Fitzsimmons stopped durable HWs with single combinations. Hagler was as tough as possible for MW, but if Fitz landed his money punch on him, he wouldn't do any better. With Fitzsimmons is even harder to avoid that because he could stop you with body shots.

Not one.... At least by ko, but he did cut ( But that wasn't easy) so maybe if a true puncher could catch him with the perfect punch that cuts him, and hangs on until the ref stops the fight.... Maybe. But Hagler was the best Middleweight in history in my opnion, and most of the great Middleweights in history were aggressive, pressure fighters which played right into Haglers strength , so he would have an easier time with ATG fighters like Greb,Walker, Zale or Lamotta, than with a R.Robinson, or a very good like M.Nunn. The best way to hope for a stoppage is to cut Hagler bad enough for the ref to stop the fight.

Middleweight? Hagler? Pick? **** no. Anyone saying they would pick a middleweight to stop a peak Hagler on fight night is lying or confounded.

    Possibly only Fitz.
Other than him possibly Robinson with his combination of power and speed, but it would have to be one of those random punches that a granite jawed fighter like Hagler didn’t see.
