Max Schmeling vs David Haye

If Carl Thompson could stop David Haye, certainly Schmeling has a chance. Obviously, he would have to be careful in there while breaking Haye down.

 

I actually think Haye would beat him! Pretty handily and might stop him along the way

 

I hate to say this, but my off-the-cuff assessment is to favour Haye in this fight.

 

I think Schmeling is one of the more underrated fighters ever, he was very smart and he definitely could outwit David. But should Haye go in and blast him out, he'd definitely be able to, Schemling would be in serious trouble.
I think I'd favour David, but Max was very tricky and would find holes technically in Haye's game and could exploit them

 

The Baer fight gives me some pause, but Haye didn't have Baer's reach and wasn't as big. Still power and athleticism could beat Schemling, I'll still pick him, as I think Haye could be neutralized, and was less courageous than Baer.

 

I like the speed of the Hayemaker to take the decision. maybe like an 8-4 type decision with no doubts about the winner

 

Are you basing his lack of courage on the Wlad fight?

 

I agree, Bellew cleary had him beat and he kept coming. I pick Schmeling, very underrated, Wish Tunney had stayed on and fought him.

 

I've come around to this.
There's a chance Max gets a decision.
