Believe me, Canzoneri is my favourite out of all of them. I just can't see Tony beating Ike no matter how I try. Maybe he'd win one in a series, but I see Ike really dictating the momentum moreso. I dont usually comment on these post types, as if you change some of the starting bouts the final outcome would likely change. I couldn't resist with these guys, though. And I think I agree with Ortiz beating Canzi. Would be very tough, though.
Amazing that Gans and Sweet Pea don't make it to the last rounds of this tourney in the responses so far. I have them only losing to each other. Also Arguello (like Joe Louis in other threads) is taking an unfair shellacking for his footwork IMO
His footwork wasn't bad. In fact it was very good. Just too slow and methodical against some of the others.
Overall ? 1. Joe Gans 2. Ike Williams 3. Ortiz Mancini doesn't belong here and Manny is over his head with this crowd
No. His articles just a good reference. Personally I'd have Jofre round that position. Don't worry man. Chaney weren't a *****. I can do things myself.
I was torn between him and McGovern. My reasoning for picking McGovern were on the first page. Him and Mosley could be swapped out for McGovern and Mancini. Ambers is also more worthy of a place than them 2. I realize this in hindsight
