I don’t dislike canelo it’s the people that surround him that I dislike. There has been too many dubious decisions for it to be a one off and the golovkin first fight just pissed me off more . Canelo is a elite fighter who is up there with the best but there is too much baggage for him to be considered a great
I genuinely admire Joshua for constructing a career through which he probably enjoys the best ever earnings-to-talent ratio. It's prizefighting after all and in that respect he's nailed it, and some....
Andre Ward.... horrible but effective to watch, lost the fist Kovalev fight, cheated the victory in their rematch.....excellent commentator, insightful breakdowns and imo good to listen too.
I know it's a little bit of a generic answer, but the woman beating certainly doesn't help his case. That aside, I try my hardest to like the man, because he's a boxing idol of mine, but I still can't do it, which says a lot I feel. Largely, his attitude is just awful, his reluctance to credit those who he feels threaten his self proclaimed position of TBE.... And more than that, his social media presence of posting not only his nice, expensive things (which I think is fair shakes, he worked hard for them and is a great businessman, as well as boxer), but... Actually making a point of announcing how much they cost him in monetary terms... Why do that? The answer is probably severe insecurity, and maybe it should make me feel sorry for him, but alas, the only thing it does, is make me dislike him. Hopefully that goes some way to answering your question. Although I do understand your point, there are probably worse out there... Those guys aren't some of the best ever though, they aren't Floyd Mayweather, so inevitably, the spotlight won't be as focused on their flaws and misdemeanors, that's just how the world is
Hoping that isn't aimed at me, because one thing I'm certainly not is an idiot. Hopefully if you take your time in reading more than a singular comment someone makes about a person (read my reply to KO Artist), then you'll understand where you've flown off the handle a little early here. You used a lot of assumption, burning hatred is very harsh... Particularly because I don't recall saying he's one of the worst people in boxing
Wilder has unbelievable 1 punch KO power. Margarito is exceptionally well conditioned. Mayweather has a top 5 ATG defence. Canelo is an all round excellent fighter. Broner's chin is granite. Tank has potential.
I agree with all of this. Not saying he is a great guy, he can be a *ick. I can't get my head round why someone would keep posting all of that s*it on social media about his expensive clothes, jewelery etc. I mean constantly, non stop. And why take pictures of yourself surrounded by money. But, I don't hate the guy and he is respectful enough. Soem fighst I willr oot for him, others against him. Compare to, say, Broner who is a classless piece of s*it.
OK. David Haye was indeed a cowardly little b****. He ducked countless challenges, fought in a negative cowardly manner despite talking smack before fights about how he was going to war with his opponents. He conned the public out of money to watch crap fests like the Audley fight, and even clearly had some kind of agreement with Audley about taking a dive. However, despite all this, I do have to admit, that at least in his prime, he was moderately well groomed.
Even though Laila Ali was as fraudulent as they come, ducking Ann Wolfe, fighting Christy Martin who was 3 divisions under her weight class, I must say she has a nice butt and I would even give her a towel to wipe my jizz off.
