Hes fought and battered two giants, much bigger than himself and it was so easy, Hunter is going to be a dangerous fight for any heavyweight. This weekend he fights Sergey Kuzmin, a very experienced amatuer with fast heavy hands but very slow feet, Kuzmin is skillful but not as skillful as Hunter, Hunter has the speed and reflexes to school Kuzmin, and also hurt him, he stopped the ultra stiff behemoth Ustinov after a complete beatdown for 9 rounds, i thought Hunter was punching himself out but he still had enough to get the finish, to be honest, Ustinov at 40years old didnt have a chance in hell to turn the tide after the 5th round.

Hunter beat up talented strong and fast fighter Makabu with skill, movement and output, Makabu is good but very inexperienced, he didnt know what to do when someone was putting it on him, but hes bounced back since and looks pretty handy.

For me, one was not schooled enough, too unseasoned, the other was a career punching bag and an old one. Sergey Kuzmin will now how to deal with losing rounds, getting outlanded and getting stunned. Hunter may come into this fight a bit too confident, i honestly thinks he blows his load between 8-10 rounds he will be about 6-7 rounds up, he will get stupid and sloppy, he will eat a counter, and Hunter could fall hard, he could be stopped, he could be destroyed. This is the HW division, Hunter is a world class fighter he will probably be at 210-220lbs, Kuzmin is a tough highly experienced heavy handed fighter hes broad but not very fat but fleshly probably comes in at 230-240lbs, hes dangerous to the last, hes progressive, he goes out to KO his man i dont see him getting disheartened, especially in this fight he will, his biggest to date, i havent written him off at all.

I want Hunter to win, hes a top notch fighter and a likeable guy, if he doesnt look for Knockouts late on, he can take this worthy scalp! but i have warned you.

    What say you?

Yeah agreed. I'm backing Hunter here but Kuzmin is no pushover. This is a top notch HW fight between two contenders. Can't wait best fight of the week boxing wise.

Hunter is going to smash Kuzmin in my opinion.

Hearn is already talking about putting him against Povetkin on the Ruiz vs AJ undercard.

I also think Kuzmin is being overlooked here. While I favour Hunter by decision too, can't shake off the feeling that this will end up looking like Rivas/Jennings with the stronger man scoring a come back from behind stoppage late after getting outworked for the majority of the fight.

If he peforms like he did against Joyce, however he has been underwhelming since turning pro. Winner of fight should be put against a solid top 10 for the next fight.
