This won't be the first time that a fighter tried to keep Ruiz on the end of their jab....He'll have faced that before, what he won't have faced is a fighter that he smashed before...so he will have to stay focussed

I think the only way Jr loses is by robbery which must be on the cards given the history of Joshua as an amateur and pro if you'll excuse the pun.

    Ruiz has AJ's number.

Just gotta fight to a similar plan - and AJ will be unable to keep him off - after awhile.

At some point it will turn - just like last time. Being gunshy and jabbing constantly will not help AJ keep Ruiz at bay.

It's not as easy as AJ jabbing and moving, that isn't his style and it takes time to adapt. This isn't Rocky 3 where you can master that months before a rematch. Also, he tried to do that in the first fight and Ruiz still caught him. Ruiz wins again. AJ doesn't have the power to keep him off and he'll tire out and the combinations will accumulate.

It's his birthday today and he was enjoying his fame. He still seems like he doesn't train at all for his next bout...

All I know is, Im not betting on a fight like this one. There is no way to know Joshua’s mental state at the moment after suffering such devastating defeat.

Im leaning towards Joshua though.. ruiz has One Hit Wonder written all over him.

He was enjoying himself too much. My guess is that hes not really focused.

Yeah that’s the impression I’m getting from him. He’s enjoying the “celebrity” status a bit too much is my concern. The first fight he seemed to have Joshua’s number and I thought he’d probably win again in the aftermath of the first fight but i’m starting to see signs of a more blasé Ruiz which could work against him. It’s not like Joshua isn’t capable of putting it on him come fight night either. He’s still gonna need to be at his sharpest in the second fight if you ask me.

Yeah I like Ruiz but I have to admit as time goes on I’m starting to think one hit wonder too. Hope I’m wrong though.

    Picking Ruiz.

Joshua's attitude towards Ruiz lately has been that he isn't that good and he only won because of what Joshua did wrong.

No, Ruiz *is* that good. Probably only Fury definitely beats him out of the entire division.

Joshua can win, but he has to be cautious, evasive and tactical for 12 rounds.

No - his mistake was to choose Ruiz to fight....

My guess is Joshua avoids heavy exchanges and wins a decision. Joshua is beatable though. Parker and Ruiz exposed him. Nevertheless, Fury and Wilder are beatable too. Joshua would be interesting against either.
