It's not that absurd at all. Eddie Hearns shows have been Jessie Vargas, Tevin Farmer, Boo boo Andrade. They hardly would drive any subscribers
Lol When UFC had their first event on espn + two days later espn released a press release giving numbers of viewers and they said UFC drove 525,000 new subscribers to the platform. Since Tyson Fury has fought on ESPN + there has been no such press release to celebrate all the new subscribers. I wonder why that is? Bob Arum is talking ****. If this was such a success ESPN would be telling us not Bob Arum. They did it with UFC so why would they not with Fury. Also just a reminder Bob Arum said : “With Tyson Fury coming up on June 15, we’re gonna get more new subscribers than UFC did with their debut in January.”
1) DAZN have NEVER released any subscriber numbers so anything said is just a fairy tale. 2) 8 lads I know on a stag do have been given free floor tickets from the MGM for the fight but they aren’t really in to boxing so don’t think they’re actually going!
those UFC numbers are ones to celebrate and shout from the rooftops But here is where that logic is flawed Lets say Fury has driven more subs than DAZN That doesnt mean its a number worth bragging about (? And probably isnt) But if that is true, then its possible that DAZNs sub when Hearn promotes are even more embarrassing So whilst not guaranteed truth here from Uncle Bob.,not outta the realms of reality But why shout the numbers when neither party have enough to boast about
I'm saying even just look at what Arum said about Fury driving more subs to espn + than UFC did. When he comes out with ridiculous predictions like that it's hard to take him seriously when it comes to numbers.
