Josh Taylor vs Regis Prograis Pre fight breakdown and prediction

I took the advice of the forum & watched a couple of Josh Taylors fights. You were right Taylor can box he looked impressive. Should be a barn burner May the best man on the night win with no contraversies Would be nice to see just for once

 

I predict prograis jabs and moves and outboxes him from the outside. Maybe catches him when josh gets frustrated.

 

Its a tight fight, two fantastic fighters..I'll go with the Tartan Tornado

 

Prograis will absolutely destroy Taylor. I'm not sure if he gonna stop him but i think he comes close to do it. He'll cut paper skin Taylor open early on and then beat him up towards the late rounds. I can see a stoppage between 10 and 12.

 

Enough to win

 

It's not always how many land. Prograis fills space well with his jab. But for reference, Postol landed about 36 of 410 jabs (estimate) and Taylor landed 38 of 250 so even against a great jab and about 4 inch more reach Taylor held his own, he took Davies jab away easily too. Underrated part of Taylor skill set. BUT Prograis doesn't concern himself with % of jabs, he just wants to control the tempo & rhythm of the fight.

 

Entirely possible. I don't personally think it will happen but it could, or frustrate Taylor enough to start over committing or not set up his shots, making him easier to counter. Plausible.

 

Both land a good % of shots and defensive stats are solid also. Only difference is Taylor appears to maintain good offense/defense ratio when he has high power punch out put. Prograis stats drop off a little, he seems more suited to a lower tempo, pick the right punch and counter type of fight.

 

Gonna be a tough fight for both. Feel like Taylor will have to take some heavy shots and survive a couple of scary moments throughout but expect Taylor to do enough to win at least 6 rounds and get given the decision considering where the fight is. Wouldn’t be surprised if prograis grinds Taylor down and gets him out of their in the last 3rd if the fight but my guess is Taylor does enough to win a decision

I'll be rooting for Prograis but I think he's getting his ears boxed off.

Then again Prograis is 100 X's the fighter O'Hara Davies is.
Taylor targeted & broke Davies nose very impressively tho, I loved that nose Breaker. Nothing better than Knocking a man's nose of his face imo
