Eumir Felix Marcial is a ****ing stud. Hope he beats on the Russian in the Middleweight finals. He'll be real good in the pro game.

WTF?! Did they just rob Levit again?! If so, that's like the 4th time he's been robbed in major championships/tournaments.

Robbed against Tishchenko in the Olympic final. Robbed against the fighter from Ukraine in the World Championships. Robbed against Savon in the WSB final. And now they might have robbed him again in the World Championships semi-final.

Been busy. I took a promotion a few months ago, managing 15 people so my boxing posts are now confided to night, or the weekends for the most part. Family and playing with the kids takes time away from boxing too.

It's a transition year of sorts. Why is Jalolov, a professional in this event? I guess he wants to promote himself was world amateur champion a few fights through his professional career? He's in the finals now, shutting guys out 5-0 or , knocking guys out

    Super heavyweight results:

    Observations.

Huni is going to be the real deal. He did well for a young guy, but withdrew in the semi's vs Kunkabavev. Not sure why

Milun, who very fast and active apparently has a glass jaw. This is too bad because he has a lot of talent!

Kunkabayev is the best ethic Asian heavyweight I ever saw. He's quick and can make you mis which is rare for a heavyweight. For some reason he fights with his mouth open, but I see a top 20 professional talent here. He should go pro after the Olympics. Power is okay, chin solid only stopped twice by Majidov and those matches happened was he was young ( 21 and 20 )

The final match between him and Jalolov will be very interesting. Jalolov has beaten him in the past two matches. My guess is he imposes his power and wins.

    Good question.

Another is why do they call it the World Amateur championships?

It should be called the World Amateur championships plus ring-ins.

Here's hoping the amateur wins the SHW title & not the ring-in.
