There is an interview on Match TV where coaches were asked about this fight, I only saw the translation. But according to that not only Tursunpulatov but also Teddy Atlas and Aleksandr Lebziak said the same thing. If you can understand Russian you might find the original source.
who cares about that guy lol.... He is still salty because Kovalev fired his ass lol... they had like 2 fights together.. that wasn't really his trainer, he just held the pads for him.. he is not a successful trainer to begin with, I wouldn't take his words to heart like you are doing...
There's a reason certain authorities suspend people for a certain amount of months in boxing/MMA after a stoppage loss. If you almost take a stoppage loss, just because you didn't technically get stopped it doesn't mean you're fine. The fact Kov has to spar and therefore take hits means he doesn't really have as much time as it seems. So I say it's likely he won't be 100% for punch resistance, but he'll have just enough time so that people can say it isn't a factor. It gets into that nebulous area where GB get another edge while denying it, with all their rat fans cheering them on.
Kovalev wont even have time to juice safely for this fight without the possibility of getting caught out by VADA while Clenelo dropped out of VADA 365 testing during the summer and has had the perfect window to cycle on and off his PED course. Canelo is going to have some serious energy in this fight while Kovalev may look totally flat.
Canelo wanted this fight for a reason. Him and Oscar are smart enough to see what some of us see that Kov is completely shot. Why did they ignor Bivol when Bivol would gave given him the original date? For the reason they cant beat a prime LHW
Good for him. He was also younger and a huge favorite against everyone of them. Last time I checked Kovalev is a huge underdog against Alvarez. What is the reason for that?
Kov just fought Aug 24 in a tough fight Nov 2 is cutting it close While there is no CW, this is where canelo gets the advantage. Kov should have a light camp. He knows how to fight.
yes, he didnt really take that much damage in the yarde fight, people only assume he did because he was gassed by the middle rounds, but other than the round he was in trouble, he handle yarde pretty easily without taking any damage.
