I think this would be a fun match up. Two physically strong boxers with great heart and cement chins.
Think Ray might be stronger but Gatti hits harder.
I cant figure out who would win. Only thing im pretty sure of is it wouldnt have gone the distance.

Mancini stops him late. It starts a very fun fight, probably a few ATG rounds and some brilliant exchanges but eventually Mancini starts to beat him down and whilst Gatti would go out on his shield this would be a case where heart gets ugly.

    Mancini TKO11

Gatti’s eye starts swelling at the weigh-in, as usual.

By the sixth or eighth it’s closed.

Ray finishes him in a very entertaining but mostly one-sided affair in 10 or 12.

Mancini would beat the living **** outta that punching bag.

Absolutely absurd that a bum who got owned by Manfredy and Robinson is in the HOF.

Gotta go with a prime Mancini. I like Gatti but Ray puts it on him.

I agree with you that Mancini would win and that Gatti shouldn't be a hall of famer but calling him a bum is a bit much. The guy fought his ass off and deserves respect. No shame in losing to Ivan Robinson either.

Ohhh please. Michael Grant fought on HBO main events multiple times.

    Use another criteria.

Gatti made the HOF cause he was white. Theres no reason to BS and dance around it... that's the reason.

He would have never been an HBO darling if he wasnt white.

At one time Michael Grant was a world class heavyweight contender.
And no he never fought on HBO the amount of times Gatti did.
And Gatti was on PPV a number of times.

In all honesty one of them probably dies or is permanently maimed.
