This. Fury’s second best win is probably against a novice Chisora when he himself was a novice. After that it’s probably Chisora again. After that? Hammer? Kevin Johnson? They both have wins over an old Klitschko but after that it’s chalk and cheese. This isn’t saying Joshua is better ability wise; but that’s not the question.
I think you can apply that to all three of Joshua, Wilder and Fury. They’ve all been in situations where they looked gone but stuck in and came back to win.
Much better fight than expected on non PPV - well done Fury for sticking in there with that nasty cut.
Interesting. I scored it clearly for Fury, might have another watch to see whether I give anything more to Wallin but I doubt it. Mid rounds were all Fury I thought.
Yup, real fight of 2 halves I thought. I watched it delayed and funnily enough, I thought reading the RBR that they must have been exaggerating out of excitement of an upset, but I thought Wallin did enough for a draw but that's just my opinion. Others will obviously see it differently.
Haha might need to put on a few pounds but I had it a draw and I watched many rounds more than once and as I said, I am a big Fury fan.
Amazing how we all see things different mate. Not usually a fan of Fury's style but thought he was a very clear points winner by at least 5 points. The opponent at least had ambition, heart and pushed Fury to the final bell - a test he really required before facing the Bronze Back Passage
Yeah certainly a wide range of scores out there. Fury started to take control once he began to use his size by smothering him up close and it looked like Wallin was gonna get stopped late on but he does have a great chin and almost stole it in the last round when he rocked Fury. A good wake up call for Fury though going forward. He needs to take every opponent seriously instead of looking ahead to bigger fights and focusing on ring entrances etc.
The worst thing about his corner work is that when he found out that the cut was caused by a punch. He failed to tell Fury in the corner the next round. He must have told him at some point later, but still that is diabolical corner work. When you can lose the fight at any moment if it’s stopped.
