Ruiz either clearly beats him on points or stops him late.

Another idol falls. Crestfallen I be. I shall weep in my little hut. I know someday a hero will rise from the streets. There's a dark cloud rising from the desert floor. I will pack my bags and ride right into the storm. Gonna be a twister to blow everything down that ain't got no faith to stand its ground.

I struggle to see Ruiz knocking out Bonavena or surviving to round 15 with his stamina

Hopefully he could beat Bonavena into submission and coast but Bonavena doesn't seem like the type to do that. I really struggle to see Ruiz win here

Short stocky guys Oscar did very well against...Ringo had a real chance at winning this one.

I think we need to see a bit more of Andy before all these match ups .. he did exceptionally well against a Joshua w a poor ability to absorb punishment ..he fought as extremely competitive fight against a very good and vastly under rated Joseph Parker but showed what he also showed at times w Joshua which is a habit of taking too many rounds off without throwing punches .. I do not know about his long distance conditioning in a fight of attrition ..

15 rounds nose to nose with Oscar Bonavena would be a long time for Ruiz, can't see Ruiz going at a fast pace for 15

Ruiz is taller than Ringo, with a slight reach advantage. His dimensions are similar to Lyle's, and I kind of see this playing out in similar fashion to that, or to the first Folley fight. Ruiz by comfortable decision.

You sure about that? Ruiz is over 5'-11"? Anyway, any height differences would have been negligible...and you're likening Ruiz physically to Ron Lyle? WTF???? And stylistically you're comparing Ruiz to Lyle and...Zora Folley??? Whatcha smokin' dude?

Oscar did rather well, albeit losing on points...to Joe Frazier in that rematch in '68...this would be a long, miserable experience for Ruiz. Yes, for 15 rounds at that.
