He deliberately thumbed Fury after the bell further worsening that cut. He should have been disqualified, yes he did better than what everyone expected him too and showed some toughness but to be honest the cut had seriously disadvantaged Fury and it was commendable how Fury was able to adapt and fight through it.

Possibly, at least a point deducted but Fury cant complain, he used a similar technique to KO Cunningham. Sometimes what goes around...

Definitely a point deduction. Clear and deliberate.

It was dirty. A point should have been taken. But fury is a fightin’ man. A fights a fight.

Wallin proved his manhood right there. He wasn’t there to be fury’s lap dog

Fury could have been deducted a point for excessive holding. And his tactic of bending at the waist and leading with his head is also illegal.

Should've been a point deduction at least. It was pretty egregious.

I was starting to root for Wallin until that point. Not that I completely sided with Fury after though.

Aiming for the cut with legal punches? Sure, just part of the game, for better or worse.

Raking your thumb against the cut, as you retract your arm... while using the ref's separation as cover? Not as okay.

It was real roughhouse stuff. Don't forget the cut was only bad because Fury had been headbutted by Wallin once or twice before he was punched in the same area.

That said, I'm sure Fury is expecting this stuff from those who want to have a go. Indeed, after he'd complained to Weeks, from round 7 he simply got on with smothering and dog-fighting Wallin without further complaint.

I actually quite liked the intensity and grit of his work, and even more-so with one eye.

Old school move, 90% of other fighters would of done the same, lmao at people disgusted by it, boxing ain't the sport for you.

This forum will go into complete meltdown mode once Wilder puts him to sleep in the rematch!
