    I'm not looking again.
Tell the 23 people on eyeonthering who gave Ali the 11th round to look again.
It's a pity Ken Norton and Don Dunphy aren't around anymore so you can tell them to look again.

Or maybe you should just look again.

'Joe MIGHT have lost that one'??

Joe definitely loses that one - A prime Frazier does not beat a prime Ali.

Frazier seriously hurt Ali with the hook in round 11. You need to know Ali and what you are looking at which you don’t. Over and above this Joe won 2 minutes of that round at least with Ali flurries during one minute of action in the last minute to try to sway the judges. This was typical of Ali during this time period. Do little for most of the round then work only at rounds end. Impressive to you. Not as impressive to those who know the history.

Dundee always rubbished the claim that Ali wanted to quit after the 14th.
He said there was never any quit in my man.
I believe him, it just wasn’t in the DNA of Ali to quit, or Joe Frazier.

The reality is that Ali said "cut them off!!" After the 14th round. Anyone could understand why.
He was hurting and had just thrown an UnGodly amount of punches in the 13th and 14th. What motivation would Ferdie Pacheco had to made that up? Ali never disputed saying it. It's been common knowledge for years.
Now saying I want to quit and actually quitting are two different things. I don't believe Ali would have quit, he would sucked it up and come out as would Frazier. The truth is that though Ali had two huge rounds 13 and 14 they both took tremendous punishment. Joe to the head, Ali to the body and head in extreme heat.
Either guy could have collapsed for exhaustion. Hit the wall. It happened to the greatest of all time Ray Robinson in a fight where Maxim hardly layed a glove on him.
Eddie Futch did the right thing and the fight ended the way it was meant to end.
    It was a helluva fight.

If Dundee's word is what your relying on then your misguided. He would lie his tail off for any of his fighters especially Ali.
Do you believe he didn't help Ali's torn glove along against Cooper? He said he didn't.

Eddie stopped the fight despite believing Joe winning up after 14 rounds. Ofcourse he didn't know for certain.

I agree he wouldnt just quit.
Ray Robinson never quit either but it's possible for the body to reach it's limit. They were both close to that point.

I gave zero credibility to Pacheco. He was the one who stated he saw Jess Willard’s xrays that showed many multiple broken bones. Willard was horribly beaten by Dempsey and the massive swelling on the right side of Willard’s face is indicative of broken facial bones but I highly doubt Pacheco saw xrays no one in history ever claimed to see.

I was being diplomatic in case anyone vehemently disagreed. I'd pick 60s Ali over Frazier pre-FOTC.

But, and I'm fine with how subjective this is: I put FOTC Frazier up against any heavyweight. Imo even the miracle that was 60s Ali would have been beaten by that one-night Frazier.

But that's just me. I don't think there's been a greater fighter than 60s Ali besides probably Sugar Ray Robinson.

Ali wrote in his biography that he was thinking about it. If you haven't read it, I strongly recommend. Really good book imo.
