No, it was a bull moose.Hyperbole about Jeffries feats is abundant, similar to Marciano.I read a vlog in the week that solemnly assured us that Rocky ran in specially weighted boots than weighed 30lbs each!

That is yards.I ran 100yards at college in 11.2 sec wearing ordinary plimsolls, and I was only second!

As you haven't produced the quote from Seamus which you repeatedly say he denies making, despite frequent requests to do so, you seriously need to shut up calling him a liar! Unless you are looking for a ban again?

    Seamust lying AGAIN.

He repeatedly lies about Jeffries high jump to discredit a long dead ATG. Is there anything more pathetic and dishonest? A black mark to this board. Why lie?

I don't buy into the notion that at a certain point in time boxers improved out of all proportion. Guys from the 40's, Louis, Walcott, Charles, Bivins did well in the 50's, Johnson, Patterson, Sattersfield, Machen, Folley, Liston did well versus 60's opponents, Quarry, Frazier, Ali, etc did ok in the 70'sand so on. Improvement is being made but it is incremental. More participating countries, sports science, drugs and longer, more competitive amateur careers are now the major movers.

Well that's more believable than running with a moose or deer on your back for 9 miles.

He would have seen a lot of 200 lb+ fighters.

OK, if I say I ran a 10.1 100 meters does it make it true?

You don't know sh*t about boxing. You know less about athletics. Jeffries did not achieve a standing high jump of 5-10. Thru the year 2000, only two people can claim to have done that. Again, you are further out of your depth in this discussion than in one on boxing and that's already pretty dire.

You are an intellectual pissant in addition to being a coward. Good work.

I agree with what most have already said he would need to adjust to how boxing has evolved and if not he's gonna get rolled.

Physically and mentally he would have been a very dangerous force if put in any era if he learned in it instead of being thrown in it from the late 1800's. Powerful left hook, crouching style for power, iron chin, I imagine he would look like a bigger David tua.

Surely those 2 are the worst here stylistically.

I mean how many guys with Chuvalo's size, chin and power did he face? And how many slick southpaws?

I've never been impressed with Chuvalo's power, neither do I think much of Mildenberger.

He wouldn't be a bigger version of Tua ,except in height, and I seriously doubt he had power equal to Tua's.His chin was probably n his level though.
