Galahad has been given a final eliminator straight away by the IBF after an appeal by his team.

    Interesting one......

    Against Claudio Merroro?

Why isn't it Jhack Tepora or Tugstsogt Nyambayar? Did they both turn it down? Nyambayar beat Merroro just this year ffs

May be being cynical. But Warren from what I have heard took a big loss in the first card.

Hearn gets a cheap final eliminator then can drive the price up for Warren to try and win the purse bid in the rematch and again blow a big portion of the BT budget by putting it on free view. Or risk upsetting Warrington by making him take a lower purse to win the bid in a fight he didn’t want the first time let alone the second.

Let's be honest if it was anywhere but leeds the fight could of gone either way. A draw probably be the result of a rematch

by the time the eliminator happens, and if Galahad wins, i suspect Warrington will be on his way up to 130. No one wants to see the rematch anyway

Yeah Warrington will definitely vacate IMO.

As bad as the first fight was the rematch would be great for fans. Local derby, domestic rivalry forming with both fighters in their prime which could last years and years. I’m all for it.

I had Galahad winning the first fight and would actually like to see it again. Like someone above posted it has potential to build into a nice little rivalry, plenty of verbals from Dom as well as the Warrington camp etc. Can’t see it though, Josh will move up IMO

I agree... however if Warren couldn’t deliver any of the unification fights at feather he’s going to find it even harder at super feather as the likes of Valdez will fight Herring and has already said he sees nothing in the Warrington fight. Loma by all accounts is moving back down to clear that division out also and I can see Loma vs Valdez as an easy Top Rank fight to make.

Plus Half of the others are DAZN fighters and Warrington will see his value diminish there his purses by losing his champion status. I can actually see him looking to do a deal with Top Rank or Matchroom soon to chase the big fights.

Hearn for instance could offer him good money for the Galahad fight with the winner getting Farmer for instance.

I also wonder if we can expect to see a Top Rank/ Queensbury link up permanently in the UK. As Arum has already said he’s looking to put on shows over here and Warren needs help getting big fights for his fighters.

Hearn's love affair with the IBF continues.

I personally think Warrington did enough but a draw or a round to Galahad would have been fine.

We all know there is 0% chance of the fight happening.

Clever by Hearn as Galahad gets the vacant title shot after

The first fight was terrible - not sure how that wets the appetite for a rematch?
