Wilders defense is not huge, thats not a mystery. Besides.. a deep cut like Fury involves weakening of the forces, fear, partial blindness and lack of accuracy of the shots. For you, how many rounds would Wilder resist with a cut of that kind?

Agree. I'm not exactly a Wilder choir boy but I admit that Wilder will leave it all in the ring.

Wilder has and big time power. He ain't quitting, however I think fury against a cut wilder like that would spell big trouble for wilder, fury might Not be a ko artist but he's smart he will maul that cut to bits.

Hard to know unless someone get dropped heavily and recovers/tries to continue against the odds like a Marquez vs Pac or a Wlad vs Peter.

Stitches always sound worse by numbers. I split my head on a pillar and the gash was about half an inch and needed 12

In the interview of Fury the size of the stitches is not mentioned...however think it was remarkable.

Lets face it Fury cuts easy. He is Irish with red hair and pale thin skin. Fury has just been good at avoiding getting cut because of his defense. Otto landed a lucky punch right above the eye. Thing is Fury never should have been hit by that punch. I think Otto being left handed gave Fury some problems. But the cut was bothering Fury and it was effecting his boxing. If he were not so good at avoiding getting hit that eye could not have taken another solid punch. And Otto should have been DQ'ed for trying to rip the cut open by cheating. I'm glad Fury protected that cut and made it but he did not look sharp at all. I'm glad Otto's cheating ass didn't win. WIlder would kill Otto and so would Ruiz and Joshua. Otto didn't even earn that shot at Fury and Fury's team is a idiot putting him in there with a southpaw. I still think Peter Fury is the one who needs to be training Fury. He needs to get Ricky Hatton's fat ass out of his corner too. Fury seemed to be in good shape but I'm not sure where he is at mentally. His punches were slow and lacked power. Fury tends to fight up to his competition but I do not think fury is ready for Wilder. He should step aside and let Wilder get beat by Ruiz and then fight Ruiz for all the belts. A good fight for Fury next would be someone like Povetkin or Pulev. I just do not think Fury can fight as good as he did against Wilder in the first fight. We all we know Fury may be shot after Wilder landed those 2 major punches. Wilder knocked out Fury in that 12th round, Only God and Fury's big heart helped him beat that count. Some fighters are never the same after punches like that are landed. Ruiz is the only fighter that could have taken that punch and not went down. Ruiz has a iron chin and the Klitschko's better be damn glad he wasn't around when they were on top. Ruiz is the type of fighter I have been looking for for years. Ruiz is the best heavyweight right now and he will beat Joshua again and he will KO Wilder as well.

Wilder broke his hand AND tore his bicep (it rolled up) in the same fight ... both of which required surgery to repair ... and he still won the fight by stoppage.

I don't think a cut eye would slow him down.

Wilder is one of those fighters who people rag on for years and then, when he's retired, they'll complain there aren't more fighters around like Wilder - who always came in the ring in shape, had no dog in him and always looked to take the other guy's head off.

Fury showed his toughness with the badly cut eye, too, and getting off the floor in the 12th against Wilder. There's no dog in Fury, either.

That's why they are the top two heavyweights ... and the rest are somewhere below that ... having panic attacks and spitting out their mouthpieces if the slightest thing doesn't go according to plan.

I just trust my eyes. You can question Wilder's technique, that's evidential. You can question his all-round boxing talent. I've seen nothing to raise a question mark against his heart and fighting spirit....

Wilder may well go down fighting. I think the problem he'd have is that he wouldn't be able to adapt like Fury did. Without binocular vision, judging distance becomes a problem, so Wilder would lose his accuracy and ability to defend from distance. Fury went inside and as our friend SOG even admitted, Fury his a remarkable inside arsenal for such a long limbed fighter. Wilder would not be able to fight inside and wrestle like Fury, so he'd depend on landing a big shot by swinging away and leave himself very open. Maybe he still lands something, but maybe not.

Many don't realise Fury showed a lot of versatility in the Wallin fight, completely changing his style on cue, as soon as the vision faded.

If wilder has that cut, someone would get knocked out soon after. I don't think he would play the long game

The top heavyweight is Andy Ruiz. Tyson Fury isn't the top anything. Living off beating a washed up Wlad 4 years ago by running didn't make him anything. Running from Deontay Wilder for 12 rounds proved nothing. Also Wilder isn't tough either. Which he has been fighting for 12 years and is still fighting tomato cans and old men. Boxers get knocked down all the time. Boxers suffer cuts all the time. Boxers break bones all the time. Because Fury got cut and got up from a knock down proves nothing. It is part of the job.
