I think after he took Golovkins punches it gave him confidence to fight someone like Kovalev and you have to give him credit this time for not making his opponent suffer with a catch weight. I think even if did have a loss to Golovkin on his record you will still call him a great fighter albeit not as great as Floyd.
No. Mayweather is a 5 division champion and if Canelo wins he will be a 3 division champion, even though he claims that he is ready to become 4 division champion but how does his paper title at 168 count.

This exactlly. The fight wasnt close. Canelo was completely out of his depth. He had no answer. Hard to rate fighter A above B when B completely outclassed A.
