Devin Haney is a bad matchup for Loma, stylistically

Actually I'm not, you sound like a triggered fangirl. As far as I go, I've had nothing but praise for Haney on here for the last 9 or 10 months. But my opinion is unchanged, I share your view of how a match against Loma plays out now, and in the future.

I've been spewing all of those lines non stop on here for the last 5 years. But with a little nuanced "styles make fights" sometimes Occam's razor is not always applicable thrown in for good measure. As in, small guys and old guys depending on the circumstances, do win sometimes. Try being a little more aware of my posting history before you attempt to "explain the sport of boxing" to me jackass.

Brb, reading your 150k posts so I can determine if "Devin Haney is the next Nicholas Walters" is a dumb thing to say or not.

If you read my post history, you'd also know that I like throwing out incendiary provocative troll posts occasionally as well. That being said, a large chunk of posters on here were saying Rigo was gong to win, Including many of the ones on this thread and one in particular that liked your posts. And Walters was being hyped as well. I never bought into the hype of Walters, and don't think he's special. But when I wrote that post, he did have a better resume and still does, and would probably beat everyone on Haney's resume.

Here's a few posts from before the Rigo match.

This one was a response to me, when I said Loma would easily outbox Rigo.

I asked up front if it was a "provocative troll post" lol.

As for the Rigo fight, yeah, it was certainly marketed as competitive. Some people bought into that marketing hype. That said,

    As for Walters

There hasn't been a fight yet to my knowledge where Loma hasn't at the very least opened as a -500 favorite. Hell, he opened -5000 against Pedraza. It doesn't take a genius to figure out he's gonna beat these guys.

rofl, since you, as fans like me picked rigo to win, then it's fine to pull a guy 2 wights up and bully him and it means that size had nothing to do. cool stuff dude!

If you think that loma can do to haney (a guy bigger than him) what he did to rigo (a guy way smaller than him), then you are crazy. That's all. The same way I was crazy enough to think that rigo could overcome 2 weights vs an excelent fighter like loma. Size is size, and weights exist for a reason.

Correct about Haney going wide. Loma beats him handily IMO. But Haney is a legit talent.

Didn't realize that was a dated post.

No Darchinyan isn't. As a matter of fact old shopworn Darchinyan, fighting three weightclasses above his best weight is a down right meaningless win. He had done nothing at featherweight.

I don't give guys credit when they clearly miss weight on purpose, and have a weight advantage. Walters came in heavy because Marriaga had beaten him in the amateurs. Had Walters made weight, I think that fight may have played out differently. I do rate Marriaga at featherweight.

I picked Walters to win, and thought the draw was fair.

An old man went to war with Ceja, started getting rocked repeatedly, losing on the cards, then got a gift PBC stoppage, because his handlers didn't know if he could pull it off.

Spare me with your pure unabashed ball gobbling. The Loma gobblers are worse than the Pac fiends. At least Pac was willing to challenge himself.

Definitely. He'll improve big time. I re-watched Moran fight and latest fight, and he obviously performs well but realistically Loma looks better vs higher level opposition right now.

T Lopez was the same, they hype is great but a step up in class can show rawness or flaws. Loma is 10 steps up.

His time will come. He looks big at 135.

Just another case of me being deemed a hater because I refuse to slob down Lomachenko like some of you.

Many Loma fans on this forum claimed Rigondeaux had more reach, to try and make it seem like Loma didn't have every single advantage, even though HBO tale of the tapes for several years showed that Loma had more reach than Rigondeaux.
