And if this is a level of difference compared to how fighters are now, explain to me how Ali, who looks nothing short of terrible post Zaire managed to hold on to the title for so long? Because he was the greatest?
I start by saying I really like Fury. He’s a terrific personality, smart and funny. He has a huge heart for sure and a ton of guts. That said, he’s fought three fighters. Chisora who is hot and cold. Wlad who was old and Wilder. He has terrific ring generalship but throws very few actual punches. He has Primo Carnera level pound for pound power.
