I stopped reading after you put Dustin Nicholas knocked Wilder down. You know that was not a real knockdown. You also know that if Wilder took on the last 2 guys Fury has, you would not let it pass. You would be criticizing Wilder. Especially if Wilder got a huge gash on his eye and almost stopped in the last round. So, do us real boxing fans a favor. Admit you love Fury and hate Wilder and promptly log off and stop polluting this once great site with your hypocritical biased BS.
This is unreal. Parker, Whyte, Povetkin, Pulev... Heck even Kownacki would have been a good name. Fury's resume is **** poor(relatively speaking). Since beating Wlad, Fury has had 4 tuneups! Yet he gets praised for it
Almost everyone was underestimating Wallin, that's for sure. Nobody really cared to watch his previous fights, and those who did saw a guy fighting tall from a distance. And in this fight he suddenly tried to pressure Fury and was quite successful doing it. It's not dumb at all to think Fury gonna lose to Wilder, but not simply because he had a close fight with Otto Wallin and didn't look too good. Rather because of specific moments: Wallin, who's not a heavy puncher, was able to really shake Fury; Wilder can learn a lot watching the first fight, but Fury is Fury, he will be the same in the rematch. That being said, it's not guaranteed that Fury will lose to Wilder, but to think so is more than adequate.
Because boxing forums are full of 99% fanboys 1% reasonable people. All the fanboys of a fighter are going to massivley overrate them and make excuses for anything they dont do perfectly, haters are going to massivley underrate them and magnify any flaw as them being "exposed" Forums arent the place to go for objective, rational discussion, they are a battlezone for fanboys. Plain and simple.
I should have ADDED realistic fights, man. In which world do you live right now? BOTH Povetkin and Pulev rejected fights with Fury. Fury wanted to fight them instead of Wallin but they didn't want. Same for Trevor Bryan who was also on the list. Arum confirmed that. Of course Arum doesn't make Fury vs. Pulev. Makes no sense. Parker already had his fight with Chisora on the line. How he should be able to fight Fury this year??? LMFAO. And Whyte is still a drug cheat. No idea how it'll play out for him in the near future. You wrote "This is unreal". Your answer was FULL ****** MODE. Fury fought prime Chisora. Fury fought prime Wilder. Fury fought past prime Wlad but still better version of Wlad than Joshua fought and Joshua got credits for beating/stopping Wlad. Fury made several tough guys quit badly like Hammer or Chisora. But i agree. Furys resume isn't very good / deep. But it doesn't matter. It matters how you perform vs. world class opponents. If you have thin resume like Wilder and struggling with world class opposition (Ortiz, Fury), you're not better than a guy who has a thin resume but beating world class opposition comfortably.
Fury isn’t the same. Wilder isn’t very good either. This means anything can happen when they fight again. Also Fury want fat for his last fight, so no excuses. He was lucky the other guy ran out of gas midway through the fight
Im a wilder fan but have said nothing about this fight. A less than stellar performance can happen in boxing. This fight means nothing.
Maybe cos he looked awful? That wasn't the real Fury against Wallin , it was some imposer. That Fury would have had a life n death struggle with Chisora and wouldn't see past 4 rounds against Wilder. The best version of Fury would never fall off balance and he lumbers forward. The real Fury is nimble , sharp , quick and well balanced. I guess you could call that his Arthur Akov performance.
I think if one persons stock went down the most, it's Wilder. Fury has the excuse of being a diminished fighter, but said diminished fighter beat Wilder.
Honestly as a Wilder fan, I never viewed Fury as a threat. Hard to believe that goofy looking guy has hardcore fans.
Wasn't much worse than Wilder vs Molina and Duhaupas but a big let down for Fury after putting away Schwartz quickly.
For the same reason you’d be mocking Wilder if he’d gone life and death with a 30/1 underdog. And i’m sure you were calling Joshua a bum after Ruiz put a beating on him. Most people have a fanboy mentality and will defend fighters they like, and trash fighters they don’t. It’s not rocket science.
Fury continues to get a pass at every turn. How hard did he negotiate anyone better? Hell, why not even make the Wilder rematch? Especially after how they gloated about how easy the first one was to make.
Because it's funny to watch a guy, especially one in which ESPN is investing all of their time and money, take a squash match and have everything go wrong for him.
