Would you rate Canelo over Mayweather if he wins in November?

I guess so. I respect Vitali, Fury, Roy Jones jr., and many other fighters who tested dirty.

Looks like you do fella also looking at your earlier posts you really love canelo and detest pac-man and I’m the other way round so we’re never gonna agree on certain aspects of the sport so let’s agree to disagree ....

No and never. Floyd beat Canelo and schooled him. Floyd moved up 5 divisions and won from 130-155 pounds.

Yep he lost 2 close decisions and only won a draw due a judging error. Then only won by KO after hiring and concealing one of the best PED distributors in the world in Heredia. Yes, Pac was done wrong for sure.

Wrong. I don't detest Pacquiao, I just point out the double standards from some of his most die hard fans, who usually happen to also be Canelo haters.

Have you read all the comments? Now do one thread about who's a bigger legend GGG or Pacman, even die hard fans of GGG would have no doubt...

Kovalev is overrated. Second Mayweather beat Canelo. Third most people think GGG beat Canelo twice. Most people think Canelo lost to Austin Trout. Most people think Canelo lost to Lara. So Canelo is overrated beyond belief. When Canelo actually starts winning fights legit and not get gift wins because this is America and you know why he isn't going to get a lost here, then you could start talking about how great he is/was. He still will never be better than Mayweather and Mayweather himself is overrated.

No a wide ud h2h loss against a 36 year old pbf at a weight he's never looked great and a draw against GGG prevents that. With that said he's my current p4p #1 and still has many years left to improve his legacy which i have no doubt he will.

"Most people"? Don't "most people" think that Kovalev beat Ward the first time? If he was good enough to beat Ward and avenge his only other loss then how is he overrated?

GGG didn't beat Canelo, not once, not twice. Canelo knocked Trout down, en route to a pretty clear victory. Most people do not think Trout won, that's a lie, some do, mostly Canelo haters, but not "most". More people think Lara beat Canelo than think Trout beat Canelo, but it's still not any kind of clear majority. This was Prime Lara, and Canelo forced Lara to be on his bike the whole fight. Sure Lara won some rounds and he fought well off the backfoot but that's a quality win for Canelo.

Floyd didn't take on the kinds of tough challenges that Canelo has. Also when Floyd beat Canelo it was at a catchweight, Canelo was weakened and still gave Floyd hell. But many posters on here said they would only give credit to Canelo if he beat Kovalev at the Full 175. If there was a catchweight then Canelo shouldn't get any credit, that was what we've been hearing for weeks. So why does that same standard not apply to Canelo Mayweather?

If you weren't going to give Canelo credit for beating Kovalev unless it was at the Full 175 which is a full weight class above the highest Canelo has ever fought at, then how do you give Mayweather credit for barely squeaking by a drained Canelo at a catchweight in a weight class that not only had Mayweather already fought at twice (154) but was a weight class that he was a World Champion in?

I think you may need to watch the Canelo vs FMJ fight again. Canelo was two pounds lighter. He was not "drained" as you say. Also this fight was not close at all. Floyd put on a masterclass and gave Canelo a boxing lesson. LOL at Floyd barely squeaking by. Canelo may have won maybe one round at all. Two if we are being generous. People do this all the time with FMJ. Before the fight Floyd is "ducking and scared to fight a young lion". Floyd takes the fights and literally delivers a masterpiece and the excuses start rolling in. Also what tough challenges did FMJ not take on? Care to elaborate on that?

    No.

Floyd clearly beat all but 2 of his opponents, and clearly beat them in the rematch.
