You know what, I don't really have beef with Hunter Usyk or Fury, I have beef with the forum narrative that constantly put these guys on top of other hard working, proven athletes like you know who... That really grinds my gears, and that's where my annoyance comes from. Good luck to the better man on the night, I just want to see some die hard, blind, salty, toxic posters on here get butthurt, because they elevated their hero to the gates of heaven before he even achieved anything of note. It pisses me off. Some real toxic wankers on here.
I think actually that's a fair observation. Although this forum can be a good read at times, people are far too partizan and emotionally invested in the fighters or (weirdly) the promotion company(?!) they 'support'.
No, honestly I learnt something. I really thought it was illusive, must have totally forgot elusive exists as word lol.
Povetkin is as old as the hills, but I think he'll be too much for Hunter. There's some life in the old warhorse yet.
Povetkin would wipe the floor with Hunter. He is an olympic medalist, has great amateur and olympic career, and he recently destroyed Price in a devastating fashion. Povetkin hits like a mule, and doesn't show his age yet. I recently watched Hunter vs Kuzmin. Hunter is a bum, he has no significant wins. Povetkin by KO in round 7.
Illusive is also a word too. An elusive fighter would be hard to hit, an illusive one never existed at all, as in ILLusion. So you wasn't totally wrong in a pedantic sense. Anyway. on topic - excellent fight and I'll take Hunter in a likely close affair. Povetkin icing him would not be leave me particularly shocked though.
I really don't know. But Hunter will give him opportunities that's for sure. Hunter might just be too hungry and aggressive for a 40 year old Povetkin. Close to a 50/50 fight on paper.
Yes you are one of the ones I was referring to in my post Those good ol' Ortiz discussions. Talked about far less nowadays. Wasted career man.
