Tbf he's managed to weasel his way out of it again. The boy is good I'll give him that.

If you are going to try this strategy then you must have a post contract position to be able to negotiate. They have already signed off on a weak hand, which is why fast Eddie laughed it off horribly.

Chisora did have some clout and his outburst may secure a joint main event, but it won't be the outright main.

If you're getting screwed in a contract and you're paying someone to negotiate that contact for you then I know who i'd be blaming.

Watching that vid, I wouldn't have Brian Cohen anywhere near media. He may be a good trainer but he is a disaster with a camera on him. He keeps stating that Linardatou is bawling her eyes out over the contract and if I were her I'd be telling him to stop yapping as it is embarrassing.

Fast Eddie did say she'd been offered another contractual fight should she lose to Taylor.

I did cringe when Eddie said "You've done an amazing job today". He is some piece of work.

Plot twist, Cohen was a roided, competent LHW back in the day:

Now I get what he meant when he G-checked Hearn and told him “don’t get cute”. A few more words and Adam Smith would have had to call for an ambulance.

Blimey. I see his last fight was a no contest but had a one star. Could be interesting.

Would love to hear @Holler and @Citizen Smith 's thoughts on slavery back in the day

"At the end of the day it's not the slavers fault, you have to question why these people got on the boat from Africa. They should have negotiated beforehand"

Complete lack of understanding or at least appreciation of bargaining power. Just because the fighter is being well paid doesn’t mean the clauses are an irrelevance.

That's not an equivalent argument. Those unfortunates had no choice but to board the ship, on fear of death.

Cohen and Co almost certainly were not ordered onto any boat. If they were, then Eddie ought to be brought to justice.

It’s not about forcing someone into a contract. We all know that the fighter wasn’t forced to take the fight but presumably she couldn’t afford to turn down what is probably life changing money for a female fighter. It’s about ethics and for Matchroom to be fair when they are the larger party with all the bargaining power.

I work for a large organisation that deals with SMEs and we are bound by ethical policies around being fair in our contract terms. Same thing ought to apply here particularly when there is a tangible prospect of the fighter being robbed of her belt.

Would love for you to explain how anything I've said is endorsing the clauses in this contract? I've been criticising her manager's strategy of complaining about the deal he negotiated after the fact?

Again, where have I shown a lack of understanding about bargaining power or stated that clauses are an irrelevance.

Pair of you strawmanning like crazy. Perhaps I should start crying about it and ask my manager to call you nasty names.
