How do you see this fighter? Is he among those fighters such as Dubois, Hrgovic, Yoka and Joyce who can give some trouble to the big 5 of the category in the next years?
He has a major flaw...he carries the amatuer style which is open defense and sloppy punching at times. hes unrefined, the things that worked in the amatuers aren't going to be so easy against legit pro boxers he comes across. Unless he sharpens things up he will look like tough swarmer whos very hittable and hes very short in a big mans division he doesn't have the Ruiz slickness going for him ,hes just a short decent power fighter. I have him ranked around 40th.
Romamov was never very skilled. He's durable and can punch some, the type Wilder avoids in the pro's At age 34, and Judging by by his competition level, I cannot see Romanov advancing to top 20 status, but this is boxing and I could be wrong. Boxing needs fighters at all levels who want to be active.
