I thoroughly enjoyed the fight. There was a lot of action. I thought Fury clearly won the decision.

That said, when guys go from bleeding red to bleeding a dark red almost purplish color, those fights are ALWAYS stopped ... for the safety of the fighter ... because the cuts are so deep.

There were points in the last round where it looked like the side of Fury's face was black, the blood was so dark.

The fact that the fight was allowed to continue with a cut like that was scandalous (seriously). It was like watching the first Arthur Abraham-Edison Miranda fight in Germany, when Abraham had the broken jaw, and the refs and doctors and officials JUST WOULD NOT STOP IT.

Fury was clearly the better fighter, but that fight should've been stopped on cuts. But the doctor even quit visiting the corner to look at the cuts. The corner was allowed to heap cream on it. The referee wouldn't even stand on the side of Fury that was bleeding after a while, like he wanted some deniability.

I don't know if a commission can lose its license, but everyone involved in overseeing that fight - the ref, the doctors, the commission rep on hand - should be suspended.

How can they ever stop a fight on cuts in Vegas again with this fight in their back pocket?

Credit to Fury for continuing and winning.

But the officials - ref, doctor, commission reps - didn't do their jobs.

If Wallin kept his gloves (rakes) and head off the cut after the clean punch, there might be a case, but of course if he did that, the cut wouldn't have opened quite like that. He was breaking the code, so there's some justice in the fact they wouldn't stop it.

    After much healing...

Fury will need more Tune-Up fights but better Cherry Picked ones this time since this Cherry punched back!

Was the doctor also trying to stitch up his mouth?

Badou Jack only got 25 stitches and hit cut was more like a machete sliced his forehead up.

I think the big cut was just far enough away from the eye that the danger to Furys eye was minimal, being as defensive as he is and most importantly a big money title fight on the horizon the decision was made to let it continue.

ESPN is calling the shots. they are already going to lose their ass signing Fury. Imagine how much they'd lose if he lost to a bum.

They need to stitch his butt, because Wilder is gonna be all up in it!
