It's soul destroying that you would lie about something so traumatic and tragic to many.

    Scum.

That's just how he's chosen to deal with it. There's actually a lot to be said for routine, purpose and exercise's effectiveness for dealing with mental health. Sometimes that can be enough for people - others require councilling or medication. It seems the former worked well for Fury.

Just found this - look from around 4 mins here, he talks about how he went to see professionals about his illness. Also at 22 mins here.

You are right, he doesn't talk too explicitly in a conventional way about what he recommends someone in his situation to do, although he does talk about that ethos of exercise and routine from 6 min onwards here. He has also joined the Frank Bruno foundation as an ambassador.

If I looked I could find more, but I've spent enough time on it now.

You may well 'genuinely believe' that he's faking it or exaggerating it, but I think a decent human should give someone the benefit of the doubt who's been in Fury's situation. You clearly hate him, and that's your choice - but perhaps try to be a bit more forgiving. You don't even know the guy!

My sister was diagnosed with bipolar, she was given medication but never came close to being sectioned like you claim someone with bipolar would be (there are different levels of severity). She also never really got better until she decided to come off her medication and start exercising plus practicing mindfulness and all of that stuff.

I’m not particularly a fan of Fury and he has told a lot of lies over the years, but to claim the only way he could have bipolar or mental health issues is if he was heavily medicated or in a secure unit is baffling. The guy clearly struggles with his mental health.

Like most who claim to be Bipolar (and are LYING), you are likely muddling Bipolar with BPD

If she is Bipolar and is unmedicated, how is she able to function in society with Mania, delusions and hallucinations or the other end severe suicidal depression? It is a lie

That’s what she was diagnosed with by a professional, she wasn’t lying, so that’s your answer. maybe it was BPD and that’s why she was able to essentially ‘cure it’ herself. So maybe Fury has been misdiagnosed and doesn’t know it, maybe he actually has bipolar but is able to function during his episodes of mania due to not having a conventional lifestyle. But I doubt he’s self diagnosed himself with bipolar, which means as far as he knows, that’s what he has.

Are you really calling him a liar over what his sister was informed by a medicial professional?

Every genuine boxing fan knew Fury had mental health issues before any absence from the sport. The chap has been blatantly up and down his whole career. Telling jokes in interviews one week, saying he has days he wants to kill himself several weeks later with an obvious lethargic demeanour. It goes back many years despite the latest narrative from the haters.

It's just another stick to beat him with to go along with being boring, being feather fisted, getting luck v Wlad, not deserving the nod v Wilder etc, etc, etc. I shouldn't have to point out it's the same people who have these same opinions and all just happen to dislike the guy. Some of said dislike bordering on worrying obsessive levels.

FWIW I don't care about the mental health stuff. I'm a boxing fan. I ignore it. Makes no odds to me. However, it's tragic to see the same haters say a man who's clearly been struggling with his mental health in the public eye for a decade has made the whole thing up.

He'd be hearing voices and very rarely sleeping, a massive danger to the public with various psychotic delusions...

    No.

Hattonmad was just explaining the mental health stuff before saying he doesn't care about it, he's right, it;s always been there with Fury.

Hes irish when it suits him too, he has religiously conservative views but blames mental illness for them which is total bollocks, he genuinley belives what he said about gays and women, im not even saying his opinions are wrong, but hes fronting for the PC brigade which is exactly what he roasts AJ for.

I actually dont mind fury but he contradicts himself 24/7 and is not the boxer his fans think he is. On a good night he can be very good, on a bad night hes bang average, and he is not a consistant fighter so thats a real factor.

The Fury i like the most is Paris, shes smart and realistic

Remember when Andy Lee was his cousin when it suited him too at the start lol. Then he found out that Andy is actually quite a nice chap so he dumped him for Saunders.

He’s saying all ‘genuine boxing fans’ know Fury has had issues with his mental health. Yet about a dozen people seem to have agreed with my post that suggested his alleged health concerns are an excuse for his drug cheating. Are they all not ‘genuine fans?’
