    Round 13: 10-9 Bugner (close)
    Round 14: 10-8 Bodell
    Round 15: 10-9 Bodell (close)

    My Score: (148-136 Bodell)

    Official Scores: (74-71 Bodell)
Winner: By Points win to win the BBBofC British, Commonwealth, & EBU European Heavyweight Titles, Jack Bodell.

Bugner thru 11 rounds I'd wager hadn't thrown 50 punches total, from 12-15 he might have just broke the 120 punch mark. He barely used his main weapon, the jab all night. Pitiful performance.

Roberto Duran vs Hiroshi Kobayashi (October 16, 1971) (10 Rounds Super Lightweights)

Round 1: 10-9 Duran (Great round!)
Round 2: 10-9 Duran) (A 20 year old Duran is eating the veteran former 130 champ alive already.)
Round 3: 10-9 Duran (Roberto at 20 is already a boxing master, slipping punches upstairs and banging the body in response.)
Round 4: 10-9 Kobayashi (Very close round, but the crafty vet Hiroshi did hurt Duran with a body attack including a nice liver shot.)
Round 5: 10-9 Duran (Roberto re-establishes command of the fight, but Kobayashi had some moments making it competitive.)
Round 6: 10-9 Duran (Roberto and the heat & humidity of Panama City have Kobayashi out on his feet by the end of the round.)
    Round 7: KO

    My Score: (59-55 Duran ATOS)

    Official Scores: (60-56 Duran) (59-57 x 2 Duran)
Winner: By 7th round Knockout, Roberto Duran.

Great performance by a young virtuoso "Little Hands of Stone" as he was called at the time.

George Foreman vs Luis Faustino Pires (October 29, 1971) (10 Rounds Heavyweights)

Round 1: 10-9 Foreman (complete pummeling)
Round 2: 10-9 Foreman (Pires had some good moments in this round & landed several good shots but George controlled the round.)
Round 3: 10-9 Foreman (George batters Pires from 1 side of the ring to the other for 3 minutes but Luis wont go down, this might be where Ali got the idea for the rope-a-dope.)
Round 4: 10-9 Foreman (More of the same, Luis' face is a bloody mess but he never went down and the ref mercifully stops the fight before the 5th round.)
    Round 5: RTD

    My Score: (40-36 Foreman ATOS)

    Official Scores: (N/A)
Winner: By Ref Stoppage before the start of the 5th round, George Foreman.

Bob Foster vs Tommy Hicks (October 30, 1971) (15 Rounds for the WBC (LIneal) Light-Heavyweight Championship) (The WBA Title was not on tine)

    Round 1: 10-9 Foster
    Round 2: 9-9
(No sound but it looked like Foster was deducted a point for either thumbing or heeling.)
Round 3: 10-9 Foster (In complete control now, Hicks pressure is doing him no good.)
Round 4: 10-9 Foster (Boxing beautifully off the back foot, sticking that hard jab & 1-2 at will.)
Round 5: 10-9 Foster (That long stiff jab controls the round again, Foster started uncorking the left hook as well, it's only a matter of time.)
Round 6: 10-9 Foster (Bob spent most of the round snapping Hicks head back with the jab & straight right.)
Round 7: 10-9 Hicks (Close round, Hicks got his southpaw jab going finally, & landed several straight or looping left hands a few of which stunned Foster.)
    Round 8: TKO

    My Score: (68-64 Foster ATOS)

    Official Scores: (N/A)
Winner: By 8th round Technical Knockout to retain the WBC (Lineal) Light-Heavyweight Championship of the World, Bob Foster.

Ruben Olivares vs Jesus Pimental (December 14, 1971) (15 Rounds for the WBA & WBC (Lineal) Bantamweight Championship)

Round 1: 10-9 Olivares (Close feel out round, nothing much of note happened. Olivares controlled the round with his jab.)
Round 2: 10-9 Olivares (More of the same, jab, jab, jab, some blistering body work from Ruben as well.)
Round 3: 10-9 Pimental (Both men came out swinging this round, Jesus lured Olivares to the ropes & with his back to the ropes won most of the exchanges & opened a cut over Olivares eye.)
Round 4: 10-9 Pimental (Jesus rocks Olivares badly almost bringing him to a knee, would probablt be called a knockdown today.)
Round 5: 10-9 Pimental (Close round, Jesus the aggressor for most of it, and rocked Olivares a couple times again.)
Round 6: 10-8 Olivares (Ruben unleashes a sledgehammer right that sends Pimental flying through the ropes to the ring apron flat on his back. Amazing he beat the count & could continue.)
Round 7: 10-9 Olivares (Ruben's in total command of the fight now, Pimental is tired & doesn't have much left in his legs after that huge knockdown in the last round,)
Round 8: 10-9 Olivares (Boxing beautifully now, sticking & moving pouring the offense on, it's only a matter of time now for Pimental.)
Round 9: 10-9 Olivares (Pimental empties what he has left in the tank, and does land a hard jab & uppercut that snaps Ruben's head back, but not nearly enough Olivares lands some devastating combinations.)
Round 10: 10-9 Olivares (Rears back & blasts Pimental with every punch in the book, but Jesus hangs on another round on fumes still trying wildly to land the knockout blow.)
Round 11: 10-9 Olivares (RTD 3:00) (Jesus still trying & has a better round, but gets crunched with a overhand right, left uppercut & left hook leading his cornerman to come in the ring at the bell and waive the towel in surrender with Pimental looking on with a puzzled look on his face.)

    My Score: (107-101 Olivares ATOS)

Official Scores: (9-2 Olivares) (8-1-2 Olivares) (9-3 Olivares)
Winner: By Corner Retirement at the end of the 11th round to retain the WBA & WBC (Lineal) Bantamweight Chanaumpionship of the World, Ruben Olivares.

Pimental went out like a warrior, but age caught up to him and at 31 years old this would be his last fight finally receiving his first and only championship title shot in his 83 & final bout.

Ruben Olivares vs Rafael Herrera (November 14, 1972) (10 Rounds Super Bantamweights)

Round 1: 10-9 Herrera (Feel out round, Herrera was busier & landed a overhand to Olivares jaw & a good body shot to take the quiet round.)
Round 2: 10-9 Herrera (Rafael slipping, bob & weaving & counter-punching beautifully to take the round.)
Round 3: 10-9 Herrera (All Rafael, he's working over Ruben now concentrating a large part of his attack to Olivares body & hurting Ruben at least once. He's having his way thru 3 rounds.)
Round 4: 10-9 Herrera (Closer round, Olivares is starting to let his hands go, but the steady body attack and clean punching is still in Herrera's favor.)
Round 5: 10-9 Herrera (Olivares turning it on now, but the counter-punching & clean shots landed are still heavily favoring Rafael.)
Round 6: 10-9 Herrera (The body attack is starting to take effect Olivares arms are getting lower, Ruben trying to turn up the heat but Rafael is still slipping & countering masterfully.)
Round 7: 10-8 Herrera (Olivares tried to start fast and gets deposited on his rear end for his efforts.)
Round 8: 10-9 Olivares (Herrera looked to have taken most of the round off, he came back on at the end to score well to Ruben's body but not enough to take the round.)
Round 9: 10-9 Olivares (Managed to turn it into a fire fight and still just edged the round with power. Rafael's body attack is just relentless.)
Round 10: 10-9 Olivares (A all out war, Olivares landing huge power punches rocking Herrera, Ruben needed to make it this kind of fight much earlier, to little too late.)

    My Score: (97-92 Herrera)

    Official Scores: (6-4 x 2 Herrera) (5-5 Draw)
Winner: By Majority Decision, Rafael Herrera.

Herrera defeated Olivares both times they met, their first meeting knocking Ruben out in March of 72' to win the Lineal Bantamweight Championship of the World.

Chris Finnegan vs Bob Foster (September 26, 1972) (WBA & WBC (Lineal) Light-Heavyweight Championship)

    Round 1: 10-9 Foster
    Round 2: 10-9 Finnegan
    Round 3: 10-9 Foster
    Round 4: 10-9 Foster
    Round 5: 10-9 Foster (close)
Round 6: 10-9 Finnegan (good round for the Irishman, went to work on Foster's body.)
Round 7: 10-9 Finnegan (great round! Finnegan had a fantastic round but Foster hurt him a couple times.)
Round 8: 10-9 Foster (another back & forth round, Foster hurts and staggers Finnegan numerous times.)
Round 9: 10-9 Finnegan (close round, could go either way.)
Round 10: 10-8 Foster (a pulverizing 1-2 puts Finnegan flat on his ass, the Irishman now looks drained & all movement has stopped.)
Round 11: 10-9 Foster (Bob dancing like Ali in this round, tagged Finnegan at will with no resistance.)
    Round 12: 10-9 Foster (ditto.)
Round 13: 10-9 Foster (good round from both fighters, huge shots from Foster edges the otherwise close round.)
    Round 14: KO

    My Score: (126-120 Foster ATOS)

    Official Scores: (N/A)
Winner: By 14th round Knockout to retain the WBA & WBC (Lineal) Lighit-Heavyweight Championship of the World, Bob Foster.

This was 1972 Ring Magazine's Fight of the Year. Foster knocked Finnegan stupid with a smashing right hand & then another makes him forget his name & how to speak for the 10 count.

The fight was in New York and they still used that terrible rounds scoring, with supposedly supplemental scoring for dominant rounds for knockdowns, point deductions and whatnot, but clearly that's BS. New York commission just wanted to save one of their most popular fighters who fought in NY often 0.
