Will AJ be able to be as he says and above all will a more aggressive boxing the key to solve the rematch? In your opinion?

If he is "aggressive" and a fight breaks out he is done. He needs to keep Ruiz on the end of the jab and be patient. When Ruiz gets past his jab (like he did in the first fight) AJ needs to wrap him up and let the ref reset. Once Ruiz sees this a few times he'll adjust and thats when AJ needs to bait a jab and catch Ruiz with the right hand as he comes in. But he should never ever try to slug it out with Ruiz at any point.

He's not good enough to jab and move to victory for 12 rounds. Ruiz stops him again. The only question is if it takes more or less than 7 rounds this time?

I changed the title: play the career = can lose the career. Sorry for the mistake

Aj already showed hes doesn't have a plan b when he can't overwhelm his opponent. His only advantage in this fight is his length which he doesn't even use effectively. He loses to the top 3 and I wouldn't feel confident picking him against a few others now that the aura of invinsibility is gone

I think hes completely correct in his approach tbh. Joshua more than capable of banging anyone out. The reality is ruiz changed the whole lanscape of the fight with them two punches after he got put down. To his credit may i add. I think joshuas biggest problem is hes negating his best attributes with his backfoot fighting. They need to work on how to open opponents up. Set traps etc. Hes not great on the backfoot and hes become an average fighter since the klitchko win. No one wants another klitchko type anyway. Pretty contrary advise bearing in mind he was caught in the crossfight. He just needs to be smarter about it tho. Dont go in all guns blazing. But work on opening ruiz up. Has to start varying his work up but not give away so much ground. He needs to get good sparring in with the right guys and keep his ground and start pushing ruiz back. Didnt look prepared for the fight the first time round probably because they trained for the back foot boxing so much. This time they,ve got to be ready for the fight and win the battle of the centre of the ring. If ruiz wants to engage let him walk into it and fight him. He got stuck when ruiz started firing combinations in. Sort of froze. This time he has to be prepared to answer it with punches of his own back.

    Wow.
Do you have a source? What exactly did he say? Don't change his direct quote.

Imo its not a mistake if he starts aggressive, the question is if he doesnt knock Ruiz out within the 5th and he runs out of gas.

Fighters say a lot of things leading up to a fight not all turn out to be true and aggressive can be interpreted in many ways.

We all know hes going to keep it long.

I am not liking what Im hearing from AJ.

He should be thinking tactically, to stay disciplined behind his jab... working on the clinch whenever Ruiz gets in close and tries punching with him.

Being aggressive shouldnt be his focus.

Ruiz was hitting AJ's jabbing arm - hard.

He will work to take away the jab - leaving AJ's defenses open

One thing is certain: there are all the premises for a clash..and if Joshua can knock Ruiz out within the 5th or vice versa Wilder could really start to shake.

It is funny how the same people who flat out stated that Andy Ruiz would be no match for Joshua are now acting like Joshua is no match for Ruiz. Get over yourself. Joshua was never that good but he is still a better fighter than Ruiz. Joshua got caught looking at that Wilder fight and didn't take Ruiz seriously. Joshua also trained to fight Jarrell Miller who has a totally different style than Ruiz. If Joshua is still hungry which I believe he is he stops Ruiz this time. You know he did have Ruiz on his back in their first fight right?
